2022 Credo Beauty Favorites

It’s no surprise that I adore Credo Beauty. (Did you know I’m the newest addition to their Clean Beauty Council? What an honor!) Credo is the one clean beauty destination that carries almost every single product I religiously use and they’re always adding interesting new brands to the roster.

Let’s take a look at my 2022 Credo favorites! (psst – you can find my 2021 faves here)

2022 Credo Beauty Favorites

Skincare

True Botanicals Skin Barrier Sun Shield SPF 30

The True Botanicals Skin Barrier Sun Shield is a non-nano zinc formula that provides broad-spectrum protection from both UVA and UVB rays, while antioxidant-rich and hydrating anti-aging ingredients nourish your skin for a youthful-looking glow. Okay OKAY that’s all good and fine, but let’s talk about the important stuff – how does it feel on the face, and does it leave a white cast? Um, It feels and looks like a dream, y’all. Between this sunscreen and my other fave, I don’t think I’ll ever stray. (Psst – this one is a lot easier to get.)

Josh Rosebrook Active Enzyme Exfoliator

I am so excited that for the first year ever, Josh Rosebrook products are included in the Credo discount! LADIES AND GENTS, RUN DON’T WALK. (My top 6 faves are listed here!) I have to give a special shout-out to my favorite gentle exfoliator of all time, the Active Enzyme Exfoliator. You guys, so so so good. You know how sensitive my skin is and I can leave this one for upwards of 30-45 minutes without any dissent from my skin. Full review here.

Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray

Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray is a godsend for eczema, skin reactions, maskne, you name it. You can use this as a toner/essence on clean skin or throughout the day over makeup as a refresher. I blow through bottles of this dream.

African Botanics Marula Cleansing Oil

Maybe my favorite find of the year as I have such an issue with cleansing oils irritating my face – this Marula Cleansing Oil by my favorite luxury brand African Botanics could not be more perfect. Formulated with soothing marula, moringa, and baobab oils to help balance the sebum and AHA fruit acids to gently help refine the skin, my skin feels smooth, cleansed, and most importantly not pissed off. Perfect for the first step of your double cleansing routine.

African Botanics Cell Resurrection Serum

Speaking of African Botanics, I am obsessed with the African Botanics Cell Resurrection Serum and I’ve used this 0.5% retinol formulation for years and years! It’s fantastic for beginner-to-intermediate retinoid users, has a cooling gel texture and a mildly herbaceous scent. Even though I’ve been using retinol for years, I still prefer this formulation.

I wrote a fully in-depth review of the product here.

THREE SHIPS Radiance Grape Stem Cell + Squalane Day Cream

Oh, I love me a day cream! This particular one by Three Ships ticks all my boxes and the price ($35) cannot be beat. Fast-absorbing, lightweight yet hydrating, but not too heavy. Great for those of you who don’t want heavier creams.

True Botanicals Chebula Serum

Just incredible for hydrating and anti-aging, while supporting your skin barrier. The Chebula Serum is a hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, pregnancy-safe face oil that is clinically proven to fight fine lines and wrinkles. Chebula, an ayurvedic fruit and one of the most bioactive and powerful antioxidants in nature, helps to target five signs of aging: minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, visibly even skin tone, smooth roughness, give the look of firmer and brighter skin. My skin always looks hydrated, glowy, and more youthful-looking when I use this.

My full video review of the Chebula Serum can be found here.

True Botanicals Ginger Turmeric Cleansing Balm

Lots of True Botanicals on this year’s list, but for good reason! This cleansing balm is pure heaven. It effectively removes my makeup, sunscreen, dirt, and impurities while nourishing my skin so it’s left clean, smooth, and feeling moisturized. It’s naturally scented with Ginger Root, Mandarin, and Neroli Oils so it smells like a dream. Oh, it’s also great for redness and rosacea. OBSESSED.

Maya Chia SuperNaked Oil

The Maya Chia Super Naked is my favorite face oil, period. Full review here.

PAI Century Flower Hyaluronic Acid Barrier Defence Mist

Ahhhhhh. That about sums up my feelings for this alcohol-free toning mist. The Pai Century Flower Hyaluronic Acid Barrier Defence Mist is unique in that it contains ‘living water’ extracted from the lotus root which is rich in amino acids and vitamins. With regular use, this clean facial toner works to soothe and hydrate the appearance of irritated or imbalanced skin. My skin loves this mist.

Haircare/Bodycare

Maya Chia Power Fol Hair Treatment

This needs a post of its own (it’s on the list!) but if you are dealing with thinning hair, this is the product for you. Now, I realize that I personally have a LOT of hair, but my hair actually sheds cyclically every fall. Like, fingers full of hair after working conditioner through the ends. This treatment put a stop to that. It works.

SHAZ & KIKS Rice + Chai Refresh Spray

Where has this refresh spray been all my life? After workouts, on 3rd-day hair…I’m obsessed. Rice starch and Reetha soapnuts gently absorb oil, dirt and grime, giving a voluminous lift without ever overdrying your scalp. Love the scent too.

Ellis Brooklyn Fragrances

I’m one of those weirdos who never can find a scent I love, despite trying ALL OF THEM. Well, I’m here to say that my two most-worn fragrances are both by Ellis Brooklyn.

RANAVAT MIGHTY MAJESTY HAIR OIL

I use the Ranavat Mighty Majesty Hair Oil on my damp and/or dried hair to help smooth any frizz and add shine. The scent is incredible – people ask me about it all the time!

INNERSENSE WHIPPED CREAM TEXTURIZER

Innersense Whipped Cream Texturizer is a godsend for humidity and frizz! I apply this to dry hair as my last step in styling to add separation and texture. It also smells lovely – light and citrusy.

PLUME SCIENCE Trim & Define Precision Scissors

Never thought I’d include a little pair of scissors on a beauty list, but here we are. Love these for tiny little bang refreshes.

Doctor Rogers Restore Lip Balm

I shit you not…I probably have 7 of these lip balms lying around my house and studio. ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT LIVE WITHOUT. (And I’m not usually a stick lip balm kind of gal! It’s so moisturizing and hydrating and not waxy at all LISTEN TO WHOORL.)

Captain Blankenship Sea Salt Spray

Great, lovely-smelling salt spray. Love it when my hair needs a little texture.

Doctor Rogers Restore Healing Balm

Great for all things skin – this healing balm permanently resides on my bedside table.

Jenny Patinkin Luxury Vegan Brush Soap

This ingenious brush soap is the only way to wash your makeup brushes, in my humble opinion. The shape of the tin makes it so easy to swirl your brushes in it and it gets them squeaky clean. Dare I say it’s therapeutic?

Makeup

Tower 28 MakeWaves Mascara

Winner winner, chicken dinner. If you know me at all, you know that I’ve been a diehard Ilia mascara user for years. Well…I haven’t picked it up once since trying the Tower 28 mascara. IT IS PERFECTION. Volume, length, separation, buildable, no flakes, and no smudges. Incredible.

Westman Atelier Vital Pressed Skincare Powder

Finally, a powder that decreases shine around my t-zone but also has a bit of a brightening effect. I wear this almost every day, as I’m sure you’ve witnessed in my Reels. I have both the translucent and the Pink Bubble.

Westman Baby Cheeks Blush Stick

A repeat mention from last year’s list of faves. I have almost every shade, but Petal and Chouchette are my most worn. So creamy and blendable, and most importantly, they don’t sit on top of the skin. Gucci Westman has nailed cosmetics and the Blush Stick is a great way to get to know the brand.

Exa Beauty Color Corrector

Okay, these color correctors are genius. Shades for any and all imperfections you might want to conceal. I use pink and peach for dark circles under the eyes. (Pink when my skin is paler and peach in the summer.)

Kjaer Weis The Red Edit Lipstick

You know, if you’re looking for a red, look no further than the Kjaer Weis Red Edit. 8 shades of gorgeous red…I know there is one for you. And how chic is the gorgeous metal packaging? Little works of art.

Jones Road Face Pencil

These face pencils are the absolute easiest way to conceal little blemishes on the face. I use shade 7.

Jones Road Eye Shadows

Best pressed powder eyeshadows. I’m partial to Penny, Ash, Smoky Grey, and So Pretty.

Jones Road Lip and Cheek stick

Can we tell I’m a fan of Jones Road? I am mentioning this creamy stick specifically because of the color English Rose. Oh my, what a lovely flush. I’m wearing several of the Jones Road products in this Reel.

Roen Beauty Lip Gloss

Fave new lip gloss of the year! Creamy, slightly opaque, great shades. I adore Remi and Charlie.

Tower28 OneLiner Multi-Liner

The new Tower28 OneLiner Multi-Liners have won me over big time. Wearing the Work of Art shade in this Reel!

There you have it – my 2022 Credo favorites! As always, feel free to leave any questions in the comments. xo

The Tower 28 is so good for upset skin. I found a less expensive product with same ingredients elsewhere, which was necessary because I go through it like whoa for eczema outbreaks on my face, ears (?!), and scalp (whyyyyyy).
