Best of the Best is a series showcasing my favorite, tried-and-true, go-back-again-and-again green beauty brands. Being a beauty blogger, I’m in a constant state of flux with skincare, as I’m always trying new products. However, these brands are always in my rotation and are worthy of my highest recommendation.
Oh, Josh Rosebrook….where do I even begin? There are SO many products that I love in this incredible line of skincare and haircare, but today I am going to focus on my very top picks.
Active Enzyme Exfoliator
Let’s get started with the Active Enzyme Exfoliator. Friends, I can promise you it’s a very rare occurrence if this mask isn’t on my face every Sunday. This exfoliator supports the feeling of healthy cell turnover with enzymes from honey, papaya, yucca, beetroot and elderberry that naturally soften and brighten the skin’s appearance. And man, it does its job – my skin looks brand spanking new (not a dead skin cell in sight!) when I wash this off my face.
I love this exfoliator for many reasons – especially that it’s a chemical (natural enzymes like papaya) and physical (very finely milled walnut shells) exfoliant, so you’re getting the best of both worlds. I’ve tried A LOT of exfoliators, and this one is seriously impressive. Also, and I find this to be true with all Josh Rosebrook products, they never irritate my skin. I can leave the Active Enzyme Exfoliator on for up to an hour with no sensitivity – just gorgeous, clear skin.
And you know else loves this exfoliator? My husband, as you can see in this video!
He uses this exfoliator every week, not to mention the Hydrating Accelerator and Advanced Hydration Mask every evening. (Josh Rosebrook is his skincare line of choice..get your men using this incredible line STAT.)
Advanced Hydration Mask
Speaking of the Advanced Hydration Mask, will you look at that shade of blue?
Just looking at it makes me happy. This mask attracts and maintains cellular hydration retention with a synergy of senna seed, aloe vera, mango seed butter, honey, and avocado. Ginger, fenugreek, and chickweed stimulate circulation while blue tansy, rose and St. John’s wort instill a feeling of calm to inflamed skin. It’s basically the most soothing hug for your skin ever.
Looking to calm sensitive and/or irritated skin? Get this mask. Need a huge boost of hydration? Again, GET ON IT.
Aren’t both products gorgeous? p.s. – the scents are even better.
Hydrating Accelerator
Moving on to one of the line’s ultra top sellers since day one, the Hydrating Accelerator is a toner, light moisturizer and herbal vitamin-infused water that balances your skin’s pH and preps your skin to more readily absorb serums, oils, and creams that follow. I love to use this during the day and it’s no joke that I have 4-5 little bottles of it around my house at all times because my entire family uses it! I mean, you never know when you might need a spritz!
Cacao Antioxidant Mask
Next up, the Cacao Antioxidant Mask. This delicious (yes, I want to eat it) mask is a powerful skin-brightening and rejuvenating product that detoxifies, tones, tightens, and softens the skin. You’ll see instant results after just one use, and regular users will experience a clearer, firmer, and overall brighter complexion.
Cacao is extremely high in flavanols–powerful antioxidants that help to activate circulation in the skin, stimulating blood flow to micro-circulatory areas and feeding your skin the vitamins, minerals, amino and fatty acids, and antioxidants it needs to be bright, tight, and youthful.
And I can attest to activated circulation – you can expect your skin to be slightly redder for up to an hour after using. (The first time I used it I was concerned that my skin was too sensitive, but nope, it was just all the blood being brought to the surface of the skin by the flavanols. This has actually become my favorite part of the process – when I see my pink skin, that means damn good things are happening!)
Other ingredients are Coenzyme Q10, which delivers antioxidants via small molecules that can easily penetrate skin cells, Bladderwrack which is a rich source of vitamin A and sea minerals (super nourishing!), and antioxidants in Grape Seed oil which protect collagen to firm skin structure and restore elasticity.
This mask is incredible, y’all. I adore it.
Vital Balm Cream, Unscented
Although none of Josh Rosebrook’s herbal scent profiles are too much for my skin (the scents are one of my favorite parts!), sometimes when my skin is stressed and uber-sensitive, the unscented Vital Balm Cream is exactly what my skin needs.
Full Body Collection
New in 2022, this collection is so incredibly lovely. The scents are so invigorating yet soothing (how is that possible?) I will never be without Probiotic Body Cleanse – it’s my favorite part of showering.
Josh Rosebrook consistently delights me with his product line and I’m a huge fan. As always, please let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to help if I can!
