Favorite Shampoo and Conditioner?

I’ll admit…I receive loads and loads of hair products weekly, but I have YET to find a shampoo and conditioner that I adore. What gives, people? Honestly, the closest I’ve gotten to sudsy infatuation is Infusium’s Moisturologie line. (5 bucks a pop at Target. SCORE!)

Does this problem stem from the fact that I have “normal” hair? Most of the products I see/receive for review are so specialized (colored, dry, damaged, volume-enhancing, etc…) What about us girls with the no-drama tresses?

Tell me, dear readers. What is your favorite shampoo and conditioner, inexpensive or pricey? Let’s all share with one another, regardless of hair type. Kumbaya.

I’ve been using AG Thikk Wash and AG Thikk Rinse for awhile now. It’s supposed to be a volume enhancer, although I don’t see that it does that very well. But the texture of it and the smell is incredible! It makes me think of lemon meringue pie. Plus, I only wash my hair every other day and, combined with the fact that this stuff lathers like crazy and a little goes a loooong way, I’m getting my money’s worth by how long it’s lasted. I also love that AG products contain a lot of botanicals and good ingredients for hair.

I love Lush solid shampoos, especially the Karma and the Gentle Lentil and Lush Conditioner Veganeese. The lemony smell is divine.

So, the magic elixer for my hair (fine texture, tons of hair, curly-ish, prone to frizz, uncoloured) is redken fresh curls shampoo and matrix sleek look conditioner. i stumbled on this combination a few years ago and haven’t looked back.

Pureology hydrating, has been my go to crush for a while now.

But I’m kinda of infatuated with Tigi Brunette Goddess right now. It smells fantastic and my hair sand color seem to like it.

Which makes sense because Tigi S-factor is the best smelling shampoo ever; but it’s not so good for my color.

If you find something that works spectacular on “normal” hair, PLEASE pass it on. I have yet to find anything and i’ve tried everything from $40 + a bottle – $3.00 + a bottle!

DevaCare No Poo and DevaCare One Condition for days I’m going curly. It’s amazing, super moisturizing and smells great.
Still looking for a perfect shampoo for days when I straighten. I have dry, thick hair with highlights I’m growing out.

I’ve been using Dove Therapy Intensive Care Shampoo and Conditioner – I love how it makes my hair feel like silk but so strong too.

I have pretty fuss-free hair, but from all that I’ve tried so far, Living Proof No Frizz Sulfate Free Shampoo (or something like that) and the accompanying conditioner make me happiest on the way my hair looks and feels – I don’t need any other product when I use them, it’s literally wash-and-go. As for the smell, I can do without but it’s not the worst. The only thing is that they’re something like $24 per bottle… NOT the ideal price for ANY haircare product. I probably won’t buy it with my own money. haha.

Davines NouNou shampoo and conditioner – Awesome for my color-treated hair. Gentle and light, it never causes build up. It also has a gorgeous natural scent.

My favorite organic/natural line is Aveda Dry Remedy. BUT it’s so pricey, so I’ve been using the Alba Cocoa Butter line, and it’s great. My favorite non organic is Redken Smooth Down. I have wavy/curly hair, and it *awesome* for smoothing.

I love DevaCare No Poo and DevaCare One Condition. I have an insane amount of thick, curly hair (seriously, I do) that is prone to frizz. This stuff works wonders on my hair, leaving it soft and healthy looking, and it smells wonderful!

I’m another satisfied L’Oreal EverPure user (I alternate between the moisture, smooth, and volume versions). I have long, color-treated hair and this stuff – regardless of which version I use – keeps my color true and lets me comb out after washing with ZERO tangling.

Ah, I love this topic! I have baby-fine, mid-back length, color-treated hair — a ton of it. So I switch off between Garnier Fructise (sp?) Color Care Sh&Cond for the drugstore choice. For the salon brands, I buy whatever I can lay my hands on, all for color-treated hair: Paul Mitchell, Pureologie, IKON, Graham Webb, etc. I find that switching brands every other day is what keeps my hair happy.
