I LOVE Sun Valley. I’ve skiied there many times during the winter and fly fished there a few times over the summer.
If you want a nice relaxing dinner, check out the Roosevelt Grille. Gorgeous setting. Very family friendly (as is the Pioneer Saloon.)
However, if you feel like cutting loose a little bit, head over to Whiskey Jacques. Last time I was there, we ended up pounding pitchers of beer and shots of whiskey with Kevin Costner while listening to an awesome blues band rip it up onstage.

I LOVE Sun Valley!!! I grew up in S. Idaho and that was our playground. I especially love it in summer…The mountains, the fresh air, the small-town vibe full of healthy active people, the awesome food and shops. Don’t you want to live there?!
Are those not the most comfortable sandals EVER? I also own them and cannot stop wearing them. The cuteness! The comfort! They may be the perfect shoe.

My girlfriends and I come together from around the country to meet in Sun Valley each summer for our “Mom’s Gone Wild” weekend. I wrote about it here: http://sweetpot8o.blogspot.com/2007/07/emergency-roomor-what-little-i-remember.html
Wait. You DROVE from LA to Sun Valley with a toddler? Are you NUTS, woman??
