Odds and Ends

The changing of seasons usually triggers my anxiety for whatever reason. Here are 8 things I’ve learned about anxiety over the past several decades.

Did you see the Arc de Triomphe wrapped in fabric? It took 60 years to plan and it was definitely worth it. #swoon

Walking is one of the best things for our health and happiness. Would you do this 100-mile walk?

Love this sweater for fall. Love the texture, love the sleeves, love the price.

The Gabby Petito situation is downright heartbreaking. I just learned that 710 Indigenous people (mostly girls) were reported missing (and many found murdered) over the past decade in the same area. It leads you to wonder why we never heard about those victims and if racism is to blame.

Related – Sabrina Nessa murdered while walking in London and many are asking why there isn’t public outrage when the victim isn’t white?

Male enrollment in colleges has fallen behind women by record levels.

BETO!!

These silicone lipstick holders are perfect for makeup storage. Look at how organized mine are now!

Speaking of lipstick, my favorite lipstick brand is currently at an incredible discount. Wearing all the shades here.

This right here is brilliant marketing.

How lovely is this tote bag? I want to carry it everywhere.

Last but certainly not least, have you seen the Beautycounter mascara that looks like a silver sex toy? I thought it was just my dirty mind, but thousands of you agreed with me on Instagram. (FWIW, the mascara makes my lashes insanely long and thick *no pun intended*, but it did flake a little bit by the end of the day. #worthitthough)

Happy Friday! Wishing you a wonderful weekend – we had a slight peek of Fall this week, but are back into the 90s again. COME ON, COOLER WEATHER.

Ever since I saw the movie The Way I have wanted to walk the Camino. Then I read Two Steps Forward by Graeme Simsion and it just increased my interest (fiction book that tales place along the Camino).
Someday I hope to walk at least part of it!
