Our next participant is the very talented photographer, Lori. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Lori in person, and to put it mildly, she rocks.
She even made this little photo for me.
(Now, that’s what I like to see.)
Naturally dark blonde, but has tried every color under the sun
Itching to dye her hair again
Prefers shoulder length or longer
Healthy and thick
Uses styling products and tools
I agree with Lori on the length. In fact, I would like her to grow it about three more inches to get it past the length where it flips up and out from brushing the top of the shoulder. I definitely think she should keep the layers, but remove a little bit of the overall weight.
How boring is this? Hey Lori! Grow out your hair! Thanks for participating!
Not a lot of fun, I know.
(Wait! The good part is coming up.)
I definitely think it’s time for a major color change, but I’m a little torn between blond or brunette. No matter what, I want Lori’s gorgeous blue eyes to pop. Personally, I’ve always been a huge fan of brunettes with bright blue eyes, and the darker color would be perfect for fall and winter. On the other hand, Lori lives in LA, and it’s not like we’re roasting chestnuts in our woolly scarves over here. (I’m typing this barefoot with a wife beater on.)
Let’s look at the color options.
Does anyone else think Lori looks like Martina McBride? Either way, she’s gonna look hawt. (Although, I’m secretly pulling for the brunette. I might just drive to LA and make out with her if she busts out Option #1. )
What do you all think?

I agree. Her blue eyes are gorgeous and would look even more beautiful with a brunette ‘do!

Definitely brunette. I have dark brunette/auburn hair and blue eyes, and that’s always the first thing people notice about my appearance. The contrast is unexpected, so it gets a lot of compliments. Go darker

Most definitely brunette; it would make her (gorgeous) eyes stand out.

4th vote for brunette. It’s my secret want to go darker, but my hair stylist flat out told me she wouldn’t do it.

Woo Hoo! Looks like Brunette it is….so far anyway. I made an appointment for monday. I can’t wait to report back….
Do you think I should do bangs? Maybe the longer, side swept ones.
And I will let it grow….I’ll keep my impatience in check and bite the bullet!
I think the color and style of Option #1 would look amazing. So, I say yes to the sideswept bangs!

yeah, i vote brunette.

Definitely brunette… and am I the only one who thinks that ScarJo’s blond is a little too brassy? Just me? Ok, then.

Join the brunette brigade Lori!

Whoa. My proper name is Lori and I have Lori’s same hairstyle. And color. And I’ve been wanting to change both. Welp, that was easy!
IsabelNovember 16, 2007 at 12:20 pm
Damn you both for living where the sun always shines. Up here in Seattle I’ve already forgotten what the damn sun looks like.
(Aren’t I a lot of fun to be around?!)

I love option #1! I think that changing up the color will be a good change while growing out her hair as well. And, yes, she absolutely does look like Martina McBride!!

I would cook you a whole turkey dinner if you could give me hair like hers.

I’m just back from the hairdressers myself. Now I’m tempted to simply shave my head and have done with it.
p.s. either option would be great in this particular instance, either photo would be great, but the original unadulterated one works beautifully

Definitely brunette–that blond is hard to pull off (even Scarlett doesn’t look too natural).
But either would be beautiful on her.

Um, I want my hair to look as good as Lori’s in her “before” photo.
Being that my hair is dark reddish brown and I have blue eyes, I vote for option 1 too. And I live in L.A. The blonde thing… so overrated and overdone.
(BTW, I’m totally unqualified to comment on hair)
