Gwyneth Paltrow says the secret to her gorgeous hair is dry shampoo.
The Country Strong actress always keeps dry shampoo on hand to mop up excess oil from her roots and scalp, with her favorite being Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk.
Gwyneth wrote in her GOOP newsletter, “This stuff’s great when your hair needs a little spiffing up, especially when it’s starting to get a bit greasy. If you want to maintain a blow dry or don’t have time to do a full wash and blow out, this really does the trick. It gets right to the roots and brings back volume and makes your hair less oily.”
The 38-year-old star–who has children Apple, six, and Moses, four, with husband Chris Martin–is a fan of French beauty products and always makes sure she stocks up on her must-have products when traveling in Europe.
She added, “Many of the absolute best beauty products I’ve found come from regular French pharmacies. I always stock up on these items when I’m in France or ask friends to bring some back when they’re passing through.”

February 4, 2011 at 9:28 pmGwyneth has always been my hair-idol, which is funny because when I submitted my pic to Hair Thursday, you chose one of Gwyneth’s styles for me! I’ve been using the Oscar Blandi dry shampoo for a while now, and while it’s OK, I’m definitely going to try Klorane after reading this and watching your latest video…

February 7, 2011 at 5:33 amI have fine, thin hair and have been told by the girl that does my hair that dry shampoo is a bad idea. Does anyone have experience with dry shampoo and fine hair? The girl that does my hair has about 15 times the amount of hair I have, and has had no luck with dry shampoos. She said it was totally gritty in her hair.

February 7, 2011 at 10:37 amI have fine hair. Dry shampoo is nice beause it cuts the grease AND acts like a root lifter. Seriously, sometimes I get excited to use it between showers because I get more volume that way than I do from blow-drying upside-down!

November 27, 2011 at 2:40 pmI have fine hair, and I’ve been using Oscar Blandi dry shampoo for a while now (the powder form, not the spray kind). It does the job, and gives me a little bit of extra volume :) I’ve heard that the powder form lasts longer than the spray…I’ve never had the spray, but I’ve had my powder bottle for months and months. It also smells like delicious lemons! I definitely recommend it.
