Contest!

It’s another CONTEST!

But! You don’t win anything tangible! Just my undying love forever and ever.

You guys, SERIOUSLY. Please help me. I need you to inform me of every single song, phrase, quote or whatever that contains the word “world” in it. It’s for a super top secret project and I would be indebted to you forever.

FOREVER. We are the world, man.

Regina Spektor “Hotel” lyrics: “Come into my world I’ve got to show show show you/come into my bed I’ve got to know know know you”

Erasure (shut up) also has a song called “Weight of the World”

Peter Gabriel’s “Secret World” is one of the best songs ever, as well.

And Five for Fighting has a song called simply, “World”

This is a bit of a broad brush you’re painting with here.

And New Order’s “World in Motion” which was England’s official song for the 1990 World Cup. If you’re looking for a super-extra dose of world all over the place.

Extra added bonus: it always makes me wish I were English and, perhaps even stranger, a soccer fan.

“We’re playing for England (in-ger-land!)! We’re playing the song! We’re playing for ENGLAND (in-ger-land!) Arrivederci it’s one on one!”
