Two Fall Style Essentials

When I feel just the slightest twinge of chill in the air, my mind goes straight to two things. Jackets and boots. The quintessential sartorial indicators of Fall, right? I’ve spent the past few years curating a hand-picked menagerie of boots and it felt almost complete, however, I’ve always daydreamed of the perfect gray pair of boots. #tallorder

But then. THEN. The clouds parted, the angels sang, and the Greatest Pair of Gray Boots Ever appeared right before my eyes. The Condori Lace Up. I mean, will you look at that gray for a second? Not too green-gray, not too purple-gray, just the best neutral gray ever. (I think a lot about gray. #obvi)

And the heel height! The suede! The black leather laces! Plus, they are made by ABLE, one of my favorite brands. I’ve written about ABLE before, but if you are new to the brand, they give impoverished women the opportunity to earn a living, empowering them to end the cycle of poverty that keeps them trapped. Armed with multiple studies illustrating how the employment of women benefits and strengthens the entire community, the ABLE team has set out on a mission to end generational poverty, one job at a time. (By the way, we have an interview with founder Barrett Ward coming up on Selfie in a few weeks, and it should not be missed. He is such an inspiration.)

What I’m saying is…if I can find an item I truly love *and* it’s from ABLE, it’s the ultimate win-win.

Another win-win, this denim jacket is such a fetching shade of blue with just the right amount of distressing. I’ll be wearing this constantly in the upcoming months. If you’re in the market for a jean jacket, look no further.

I love ABLE’s mission and the brand as a whole (my daily computer bag/tote is also from the line), and I want you to get to know the brand as well. Use the code WHOORL for 20% off your first purchase through September 19, 2018. As always, if you have any questions about the brand or items, hit me up in the comments!

LOVE the jacket. What’s the fit like? Can you easily go from t-shirt to sweater, or should I consider sizing up?

It’s not a boxy fit – more of a slim fit. I usually wear an XS or S in jackets and I bought the XS because I already have a roomier denim jacket. I would size up if you plan on wearing a bulky sweater underneath, but otherwise, stick with your usual size! :)

Okay but what about the shirt under the jean jacket?!!
