NaBloPoMo Commences

Sound the bells and whistles! NaBloPoMo has begun! Are you ready for my groundbreaking first post of the month?

Don’t hold your breath.

My mind is spinning and I’m hoping that you all can help me out.

#1 – Something’s up with the twins. They are hurting again and I am starting to feel achy all over. This is NOT good considering I am headed to Mexico in 5 days. I think it’s thrush although Wito has no sign of it.

#2 – Wito hasn’t pooped since Sunday. I fed him formula two days ago during an afternoon feed (to give the nips a rest, if ya know what I mean) and I am now convinced that formula is the Devil Incarnate and has blocked my son’s intestines indefinitely. I know they say anywhere within a week is normal, but should I be concerned?

#3 – Wito woke up 4 times last night, which is completely unlike him. Is #2 to blame?

#4 – Wito hates tummy time and screams like a banshee if put him on his stomach. Any tips out there for easing the process? I’ve tried the boppy, propping him up on his hands, lying on the floor and dangling toys in front of him. Any suggestions?

That’s all I’ve got, peeps. Suggestions and comments would be appreciated so I can get rid of the bad Chi and start writing again.

*UPDATE* AHA! I KNEW THE MINUTE I POSTED THIS ENTRY HE WOULD POOP. TAKE THAT CONSTIPATION GODS! I’M TRICKY LIKE THAT! You can ignore #2.

My son didn’t like tummy time either and he is fine – no developmental delays or anything. I wouldn’t worry about it. Anyways, he will soon learn to roll over front to back…

My baby girl hates tummy time also, but she does alright propped up on her bobby. She can almost do a front flip over the damn thing.

Have to address the twins again! Thrush is usually more of a sharp pain than an achiness or fever. Maybe a clogged duct or…mastitis creeping in…hopefully not and you can clear it up before it sarts! Get lots of fluid and try to feed a lot off the side that hurts (or both sides as the case may be).
Good luck and don’t worry about the tummy time, just keep trying, lots of babies don’t like it at first.
