I Guess I Better Get To The Grocery Store

Good Lord! You people and your toddler food ideas! I feel as though a list needs to be created for all of you who don’t have time to pilfer through the comments.

Better get on that.

While I’m busy slaving away on said list, would you mind voting on whether or not I should get bangs over in my sidebar? I’ve been swaying back and forth for some time, so I just figured I’d let you make the decision. (That is, if you make the right decision. MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION.)

Here is a photo of the last time I had bangs:

bangs.jpg

(p.s. – I hated my hair stylist back then.)

(p.p.s. -I adore my current one, who has great bangs herself.)

(p.p.p.s. – Not that I’m trying to sway you in a certain direction.)

(p.p.p.p.s. – Hey! That’s littlemissmel in the middle! Go say hello!)

However, if you feel SO STRONGLY one way or the other that a simple “yes” or “no” just won’t hack it, feel free to leave a comment. The future of mah hair is in your hands!

ever since my sister sent me your post on doing the wavy thing with your curling iron I always thought you had super cute hair, but I REALLY like it even MORE with the shorter cut and bangs! like, seriously, it’s grossing me out how cute it is. I say go with the bangs all the way.

except….I feel guilty not talking about the cons of bangs, which I’m sure you know of. like how if you sweat they get all separate-y-like and stick to your forehead. but i mean, that’s avoidable I assume, just don’t move too much. =)

As a person who looks mostly like a forehead with features when I don’t have them, I am all for the bangs. There needs to be more bang wearers out there to make me feel less like a freak of nature!

I say go for the bangs, but a bigger question is, “What ever happened to your cool eyeglasses?”

I’m dealing with the “to bang or not to bang” question myself as Derby Haircut Day approaches, and let me just say, that picture makes me feel way better about bangs. Because you look freaking beautiful with bangs!

And, it might interest you to know (or you might be getting a restraining order right now) … you were previously one of my strongest arguments against bangs because of how great your hair is without them.

Hi! I think about you all the time. But at least I don’t maintain an actual shrine to you or anything. That you know of.

I just realized that I didn’t really offer a vote in my last comment. I think my vote is, “You’re hot and clearly just can’t go wrong one way or the other. Congratulations on winning that particular lottery and I wish you godspeed in making this arbitrary decision.”

I’m so freaking glad that I’m not the only person who said no, based on my own horrific experiences with bangs. But I’m down with “Metalia-style.” Oh and that’s an actual phrase now, I’m not letting that one go.

O.k. so everyone is all for the bangs…and let me just say I ENJOY them in the pic! However, I shall play devil’s advocate when I make the point…IF you decide to forego the shower in the a.m., it is almost impossible to pull off the unshowered bangs. The grease factor kicks in. However, based on your hair play-by-play a few weeks back, I feel you are a girl who takes the time to actually do your hair every morning (unlike me who throws on one of three hats every other morning because I am lame). Sooo…in conclusion…I am into the bangs…just remember the day 2 grease factor!!

maybe you already addressed this – but will you keep the overall length of your hair once you get bangs?

The day 2 grease factor problem is not necessarily a problem… I often go 2 days between sudsing up and the bangs are fine – usually better on day 2.

Of course my hair is straight and fine (and I live in the driest city ever) so being mushed on the pillow overnight gives them (and the rest of the ‘do) oomph. Depends on how greasy you get how humid it gets…

Bangs can be fun…give them a chance.

(But maybe start with longer ones and go shorter from there.)

(Which is probably what all the other comments say, I just didn’t read them.)

America is dead to me after the finale of SYTYCD.

I mean, Sabra is great and lovely and full of joy, but…I mean, DANNY. Come on, people!

Anyway, your hair is superextragorgeous as is, but I think you look darling (yes, darling) with bangs in that photo. I could go either way, which means I am extremely unhelpful.

I will say that I have considered bangs recently, too, but every time I make a Major Hair Decision, I end up regretting it (comments such as “Ohhhh, gosh…well, it’ll grow back” and “WHY DID YOU CUT YOUR HAIR???” do not make for great hair self-esteem). However, I did not win the hair-related genetic lottery as you clearly did, so I feel there can’t be regret either way for you.

OH MY GOD, this is the hair I want! It’s so shiny and the perfect shade of chocolate and the perfect choppy-yet-blunt cut. And yet I’ve tried bangs, and they made my face look like a donut. Or a pie. Or something….round and squishy. A bagel? Well, maybe, but with no hole in the middle.

Anyway, yes, YOU should get bangs, definitely. If you hate them, that’s what bobby pins are for. And ears. You know, to push them behind.

(PS: Hair appointment next week. Am considering Going Short.)

The only time I’ve ever had bangs, I had my hair cut super-pixie-short, and I loved it. On the flipside, my “bangs” were the same length as the rest of my hair, and also curly like the rest of my hair, so did they really count as bangs?

    I don’t know.
