Fall Makeup Look (Plums and Taupes and Mauves, Oh My!)

Fall is here! (Not really! It’s 90 degrees outside today! #eyeroll)

I do love autumnal tones in makeup and warm weather will not hold me back, you hear? Check out this look featuring some oldies and newbies.

Beautycounter Tint Skin in Light

Clove + Hallow Conceal and Correct in shade 3 – this is quickly becoming my favorite concealer. It has great coverage, doesn’t make my undereye area look crepey, and I always prefer a liquid concealer in a tube opposed to a pot. I use shade 3 in the warmer months when I have a bit of a tan, but will probably use 2 in winter.

Beautycounter Palette in Romantic – Ladies. Have you tried the reformulated Beautycounter eyeshadows?! Let me be the first to say that I was not a fan of the original shadows. The color payoff was lame and the shades didn’t really do anything for me. However, these shadows? HELL YES. They glide on like a dream, have plenty of punch, and aren’t weird and chalky. I love them so much I’ve already bought two of the palettes. (In this look, I wore Cameo and Dusk on the lid, and Smolder as a liner.)

Kjaer Weis Cream Blush in Abundance – This is a plummy taupe with an iridescent finish. Absolutely gorgeous. Makes my cheeks look slightly bronzed as well.

Maya Chia Highlight of the Day in Golden Hour – You all know how much I love my Highlight of the Day! I usually use Afternoon Delight which is a pinky-peach, but Golden Hour is perfect for a fall vibe. Warm, champagne-like…just a bit on the tops of my cheekbones and I’m good to go.

Clove + Hallow Lip Velvet in Sugarbear – First off, anyone out there looking for a long-lasting, clean, non-toxic lipstick, LOOK NO FURTHER. These Lip Velvets by Clove + Hallow do NOT budge. Nope, no sirree bob. Now, these lip velvets are totally matte, so don’t expect a luminous finish. They were developed to be smudge-proof and budge-proof so you can eat, drink and be merry without needing touch-ups at all. However, they are infused with coconut oil, shea butter and vitamin E that keeps your lips from feeling dried out. (They also don’t crack or flake.) I’m wearing Sugar Bear in the photo, but another favorite is Napa, which I’m wearing here.

That’s the look! What are your favorite fall makeup shades?
