The Keratin Treatments Just Keep On Comin’

Before the newest installment ofKeratin Smoothing Treatments, please take note of what I’m pretty sure needs to be on my epitaph.

Here’s the thing about Sarah. She has the worlds most gorgeous hair and is so sweet and kind you just have to trust her. Suddenly what seemed like a possibly dangerous, chemically addictive lark, coming from her, seemed like a medical necessity. She’s no pusher. She’s like a nurse. From the Brunette Cross. A volunteer on the front lines of bad hair. An angel of mercy, truly concerned about my follicular well being.

Ciaran, you just made my day. (And trust me, in my 40th week of pregnancy, I NEED SOME GIGGLES.)

Read all of the wonderful things Ciaran from Momfluential has to say about the Keratin Smoothing Treatment by Coppola, such as:

It’s been a few weeks since my treatment and I’m a convert. I feel a little like I did after I had my eyes lasered. A revelation! I was blind. Now I SEE! Whatever was I waiting for? Why didn’t I do this sooner? All that time, energy and money wasted on products, stress, etc. I can now travel without a suitcase, get done in record time and go to sleep knowing I don’t have to wake with the roosters to look halfway decent. This, as silly as it sounds, is LIFE changing hair. If you’ve never struggled with frizzy hair you probably don’t get it. If you have… you probably do. And Keratin treatments will change your life, for the easier.

Check out Ciaran’s video as well!

I just love seeing all of these gorgeous women rocking their 100% frizz-free looks! Bravo!

Y’all are killing me. KILLING ME. Clearly someone needs to come to Georgia and do this for me for free, for the good of the children. Or something.

OK this video just tipped me over into the “must do” group for this treatment. I’m seriously calling my salon right now to schedule the treatment. Ciaran is right – what have I been waiting for? BUH BYE FRIZZ. Bring on the humid Chicago summer.

i would love to do this but since i’ve never even dyed my hair, i’m weary about it. is it a chemical treatment that can damage my hair?

Also, does beach and pool water ruin it?

How much does this normally run for??

    thanks for the great post!

@J- It is a chemical treatment but it doesn’t change the chemical bonds of your hair like a perm or straightener would. It actually makes hair healthier since it bonds to your hair making it stronger with less breakage and split ends. Sodium Chloride or salt is the only thing that will shorten the life of this treatment so I tell clients to either avoid getting their hair wet or wetting it first with clear water and putting in a good amount of a thick conditioner to help protect it. The treatment lasts 3-5 months and costs between $300 and $450 depending on the amount of hair and where you get it done. Hope that helps!!!

tera, is this a treatment that i’ll need or should maintain? i can see it getting pricey having it done every 3-5 months but wouldn’t mind doing it a few months out of the year. thx!

This really looks and sounds amazing! I’ve got thick, wavy hair and I fight against it! I’ve been joking that my hair has been my lifelong enemy, and that I give up–it can do whatever it likes. Maybe this would tip things in MY favor?

Anyone thinking about this needs to do some massive research. There have been lots of reports of women going BALD (seriously)after having this treatment done- do a little Google search.

I’m pretty much sold – so tired of the 25 minute blow dryer routine (esp. in the summer)! Tera or Sarah (or anyone else for that matter): any recs for where to get this done in the LA area? I’m in Pasadena and Newport Beach is pretty far..

    Thanks
