The Bachelor Recap – New Zealand Sure Is Purdy

Last night, as I was preparing dinner for the kids, I received this text from my mom.

Way too much kissing on Bachelor. Have they all been like this and I’ve forgotten?

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

OMG the kissing! Totally agree with the idea that he kisses them because he has nothing to say! Charlene needs to go home!! Clare is the best match but she is annoying as all get out. I really hope Renee finds some amazing guy when she goes home. She seems like a genuinely cool person who deserves a nice, normal guy :)

It’s the hair tucking that’s creeping me out! Why do you need every woman’s hair tucked? Why do you think that’s romantic?

I am sooo disappointed in Juan Pablo. Loved him when he was on the Bachelorette but he is just not what I expected. I cannot stand how he calls some of the girls “his special ones” – seriously? And, read his weekly blog on People if you need more laughs.

I second the hair tucking! What is wrong with him??

I would have dorked out SO HARD if a guy took me to Hobbiton!!

Also – his constant face touching and word clarification is nauseating.

I watched with my kid this week (ha ha, I KNOW, excellent parenting over here) and she said, “Why does he keep touching them on the face? That’s weird.” So I think we can agree: Weird.

I think the whole sad song when Cassandra left was so that we paid extra special close attention to her. I bet she’s in the running to be the Bachelorette? I don’t know why I think that. She kind of stressed me out because she was so formal when she talked, like she was applying for a job! And just TRYING SO HARD to “open up”, whatever that means, but coming off so awkward.

Oh I love the banter between you both. Just watched this episode now as I had a busy week and couldn’t catch it Monday night.

I actually took notes while you both chatted. I was on pins and needles with Andi and Juan as I knew it was cold and imagined my feet in that cold icy water touching who knows what. Was in Hawaii for most of January and worried about what my feet would touch in the ocean. All I kept thinking was that I would want rubber shoes on my feet. If you noticed while Juan and Andi were kissing under the waterfall that Andi had black booties on that were probably there to protect her feet.

Agree that him and Clare are perfect for each other. Also I agree with you Kristen that you can’t be too smart to be with him and Clare and him are on the same page in ever way it seems. Still don’t get why they made such a big deal about kissing at 4am and still wonder if they had sex.

Poor Cassandra, I was rooting for her but could see he wasn’t that into her. I think she was spared and is too nice and smart for him. I thought too Sarah that the song they played after Cassandra got sent home was strange and overly dramatic. It didn’t match at all.

Yes I do agree with Kristen that he doesn’t seem to care about these women and just keeps kissing them. Especially saw that with Charlene when she tried to talk and he just started kissing her. Thought that was so awkward.

Kat got a little heavy with her story and I don’t think he was all that interested and of course dumped her. I agree Chelsea is next.

Yes there is a double standard saying him and Clare went too far then having her in sweats in his apartment and making out. I think Clare is really projecting herself sexually as she does keep making faces and pouts. It’s like she knows she is on TV and is really emphasizing everything she does with her facial expressions.

Looking forward to tomorrow’s episode as well. I’ll have to check out your “Downton Abbey” episodes as I’m a fan of that as well.
