Remember the Garnier Blow Dry Perfector giveaway I did awhile back? Well, I got some really mixed reviews on that product. Since I’m breastfeeding and opted to not try it out, I have no personal opinion. However, Nicole was gracious enough to send an email detailing her positive review of the product.
Here’s what Nicole had to say:
Hey Sarah, I used the Blow Dry perfector this weekend and LOVE it! It says on the box not to used on color treated hair. I am attaching a picture I just took…not brittle or dry. I just used a round brush. No flat iron at all. I would say that it cut my hair time in half. I did use a little Moroccan oil this morning on the ends, as I always do. No other product.
Have you had good experiences with this product? Bad? I’m actually cringing that I’m opening up this forum, but I thought it would be helpful to those who are considering the treatment.

(the same Nicole who you used an example long ago, short hair, blonde…growing it out, obviously)

October 7, 2010 at 10:12 amI tried it, and wasn’t happy with it at all…. While it did shorten my blowdrying time a little bit, the overall results weren’t worth it. My hair looked DRY and brittle (and it’s not). So, I just splurged yesterday, and got the Brazilian Silk Treatment and LOVE it!

October 7, 2010 at 11:10 amWHOA! Its me!! Anywhoo…just a follow up on my e-mail, it lasted a good 5-6 washes (every other day, went three days twice), people that didn’t know I used it, commented on my hair. I run early in the morning with a group a friends, and two people commented that my hair looked really straight and smooth after 60 minutes in humid air. I usually wake up with frizzy, poofy hair that has somehow gone curly overnight and I did not. It was nice while it lasted, and was a great change for those of us who can’t shell out the big bucks for a karatin or brazilian treatment.
I will say it stunk, but it worked, and I am going to do it again. It was worth it~!
