Do you all read Hairdresser on Fire? Reagan is a hair goddess who creates some of the greatest tutorials EVER. (Seriously, I will SO rock this braided look when my hair gets a tad bit longer.)
Reagan just decided to venture into red territory and it looks amazing, don’t you think? Major girl crush over here.

March 31, 2011 at 4:17 pmThat’s the color I’m trying to get back to, after spending so many of the last months as a blonde… if I could just get it to take and stick around longer!

March 31, 2011 at 4:22 pmThis makes me want to try my hand at a darkish red. I’m kind of strawberry blonde naturally, but when I start feeling all washed out and pale, I daydream about this kind of red.

March 31, 2011 at 6:38 pmWow! Stunning hair! I want that colour!
Your hair looks really healthy and shiny too! What product do you use? I used to have quite damaged hair but now I’m getting it healthy. I’ve been trying the best hair care products and I’m currently using Pantene’s range:
http://www.pantene.com.au
It’s really great and I’d recommend it. I normally use a thickening shampoo to increase hair volume and a blonde shampoo occasionally just to emphasize my colour. I think it’s quite important not to use products too often as this can wash out all your natural oils and give you dull hair.
I’d really like to know your secret or if anyone has any hair therapy tips I’d gladly like to hear them.
Thank you!

April 13, 2011 at 7:08 amHello Everyone,
Red hair is high maintenance! Once you achieve the color you want it will only look that color for a couple of weeks then it is color tug-of-war, with glazes, color shampoos, $$ etc. I use to be a red head and just could not deal…
Of course a stylist could go any color and maintain the color, after all a stylist is in a salon most of his/her life :)
Check out my blog (socialbutterflysalon.com) for “hair therapy”, I just did a post on fixing fried hair!
Have a great hair day!

April 14, 2011 at 10:59 amI’ve been going red for years now and have fine hair, so it’s very hard to get the color to stay. I skip days washing, use a sunscreen on my hair every day (even inside because fluorescent light fades), and have tried all kinds of shampoos formulated for color care.
The inevitability is that it fades long before it grows out. So I go a little darker and more intense than I want and then I’m happy with it fading to lighter and more subtle towards the end of 6 week.

April 25, 2011 at 4:15 amRed is not for everyone. Its like getting a dog. If you are not a responsible person its going to look bad. There are several rules to it, and trust me not everyone looks good in these shades!
