I am completely obsessed with Etsy. I admit it.
A couple of weeks ago, I came to the conclusion that I need more earrings in my life. What’s the point of having your ears pierced if you aren’t going to adorn the holes? C’MON, PEOPLE.
So, Etsy and I did our little mating ritual, which resulted in the purchase of several pairs of simple, beautiful earrings. (Simple jewelry lovers UNITE!)
My very favorite pair were handmade by Kate Szabone, and they have become permanent fixtures in my earlobes.
Well, the lovely Kate accidentally printed out duplicate orders and sent me two pairs of these beautiful earrings, and when I emailed about the duplication, she kindly told me to keep them. (SCORE.) And as much as I would like to KEEP THE EARRINGS as backups, I thought it might be nice to share the love with y’all.
Aren’t they perfectly simple? And pretty? Can you not tell because my ears are devouring the entire photo?
These beauties need a loving home. (The new ones, of course. Not the ones in my ears- Whoorl is a proper hygiene advocate.)
So! Leave a comment starting now through midnight EST tonight, and I will randomly choose a winner to be announced tomorrow. Cool? Cool.
And for those people (like me) who need some sort of comment direction, tell me, do you have a free or attached earlobe?

March 25, 2008 at 9:34 amWould you believe I have one of each?
Sigh. I remember vividly, in 4th grade, learning about genetics, filling out a questionnaire. Do you have a widow’s peak, can you roll your tongue, etc. Everyone was asking about free or attached ear lobes, I asked. Each person on either side of me gave a different answer.
Then EVERYONE in the class had to see.
I’m still scarred by the whole experience, so clearly I deserve the oh-so-lovely earrings… *fingers crossed*

March 25, 2008 at 9:51 amOH! I love those earrings! I am excited to wear earrings again, since I wont have any little monkeys trying to rip them off…
Oh, and I am quite “attached” to my ears. :P

March 25, 2008 at 9:58 amAttached and proud. My outer ear also has those ridgy things that my mom calls angel bites. Does anyone know what I’m talking about? There must be a biological term for that.

March 25, 2008 at 10:06 amYou have super cute ears!
I heart earrings, my favorite pair I inherited from my grandma. They are lovely but unfortunately/fortunately VERY formal- Trying to figure out if I can wear them when I get married next year.
And my earlobes? Free!

March 25, 2008 at 9:11 amI’ve heard of people who do attachment lobing; you know, co-sleeping with their earlobes at night, carrying them in a sling during the day, but my ears are more a fan of the Free Lobe Movement, which I’m pretty sure dates back to the sixties. Flower lobes, VW jewlry boxes and all that. Make Lobe, Not War is what I say.

Also, does it matter if, um, the earrings aren’t, um, for your ears?
