One-and-Done Eyeshadows

Although I love watching people create intricate and artistic eyeshadow looks, I’m not that girl. Give me one eyeshadow that can complete my look and I’m a happy camper.

Enter the Ilia Liquid Powder Chromatic Eye Tints.

These completely wearable eye tints are highly-pigmented liquid eyeshadows that transform from a liquid into a weightless, metallic powder. Best part? They are completely foolproof. Yes, foolproof. Apply with the doe-foot applicator and then blend out with your fingers or a fluffy brush. (I prefer this set for cream eyeshadow application.) Once set, they don’t budge all day.

Also? CREASELESS. #praisebe

The 99% natural, water-based formula is free of synthetic dyes and crafted with active levels of skin-smoothing Horse Chestnut Flower and antioxidant-rich Honokiol (Magnolia Bark Extract).

Ilia Liquid Powder Chromatic Eye Tints

The hues range from everyday neutrals to bold pops of color.

You can sweep the cushiony wand along your eyelid for a bold metallic payoff (like the above photo), or use your fingers/brush to gently blend it out to a diffused wash of color.

For best results, Ilia recommends applying this quick-dry formula to clean skin one eye at a time. Plus, you can mix two colors together to create a natural ombre look or create a new color altogether.

My Personal Favorite Shades

Glaze

This shade is a light nude with warm champagne pearl. A universally gorgeous shade on any skin tone and also works beautifully on the inner corner of the eyes for an eye-opening look. This is a must for anyone.

Mythic

A soft rose-gold with pink pearl, this shade is gorgeous on all eye colors, but I think blue-eyed gals will adore it the most!

Hatch

Sage green with a soft gold shift, this is by far the most unique shade of the line. I love it because it’s almost khaki-like on the lids – super subtle but totally catches the eye. #nopunintended

Dim

Grey Lavender with pink & purple pearl – I love greyish lavender shades on hazel and brown eyes especially. I reach for this one frequently.

Fresco

Taupe brown with a silver shift. This is a beautiful shade for my cool-toned lovers.

Here’s a quick lil’ video showing how I apply them!

Have you tried these eye tints yet? They are truly impressive, hence why they were included in my Top Clean Beauty Picks of 2020! You can purchase them here.

Is there a color you recommend with brown eyes that helps with hooded eyes? I like the ease of one eyeshadow!

Hi CC! Fresco, for sure. It sells out quickly, but Aillea just restocked it today! https://shrsl.com/2to64

How do these compare with the Kosas liquid eyeshadows?

Hi Pam! They are definitely less shimmery and glittery. I found the Kosas shadows to be a little too much for my eyelids. ;)

I definitely love a simple eye look and have been looking for some better options for natural makeup without all the junk in them. I think I like the shades you prefer best too – I’m somewhat simple with makeup. I’m definitely heading over to the site to check them out now. :)

I just ordered 2 shadows. Before entering your code, it was $56.00, with free shipping. When I used your code, shipping was no longer free, and my total was $56.10. Regardless, I’m still looking forward to getting them!

I have been enjoying Fresco for a while now and think I should add that lovely Dim to my collection. Do you have any experience with the Ilia eye primer? Just wondering. Thanks!

Amanda, Dim is great! I haven’t tried the Ilia eye primer but have heard rave reviews from others.

Hi I was just wondering if you had any suggestions on how to cover up my dark under eye circles. I’m 48 abc it seems my eyes look tired and I look old . How do I make mr eyes pop and make me look less tired? I don’t know how to really apply eyeshadow or eye liner and my eyes are brown and I don’t know what colors I should use.
