Oklahoma Is Quite Windy

HELLO! HOW ARE YOU?

WHAT? I CAN’T HEAR WHAT YOU ARE SAYING!

OH SHIT! THE ROOF JUST BLEW OFF!

Speaking of blowing off, sorry about my non-existent Hair Thursday this week. All of my allotted internet vacation time was spent putting this Father’s Day Gift Guide together. Check it out if you feel so inclined.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, my toddler is airborne.

It’s like that in Dallas too. I got out of the shower last night just as a gust of wind whistled through. I seriously thought someone was whistling at my naked self.

Oh, come on! Where’s your sense of adventure? Oh, sorry, if you’ll excuse me. My left arm was just blown away by an 80 mph gust of wind.

Some friends & I got together last night to watch the weather coverage and play the Gary England Drinking Game. So at least the weather’s good for that.

When I read “speaking of blowing off,” I had to take three minutes to myself to snicker like an eight year old. In my family, we’ve always used the euphemism “blowing off” in place of “farting.” As in “ew! who blew off?” I guy I once had a brief flirtation with was this art student who carried a can of something called Blow Off everywhere with him — he used it to spray or set something on his paintings, I don’t know — and every time he came over to my house, my entire family would be in hysterics the whole time.

We also use “windy” in place of “fart” too, and that provides many more hours of laughter. An easily amused bunch, we are.

Wow, I LOVE your Father’s Day gift guide! It’s awesome! The coolest one I’ve ever seen! I’ll need to reference it for next year, I’ve already got this year covered.

Ha! I was out there for work this week, and although some people may call the wind Mariah, I call her a raving bitch. Thought I was going to get blown off the road on my way back to Tulsa from Arkansas. However, I did see lots of roadkill, including a CHICKEN. I laughed for about an hour making up “why did the chicken cross the road” jokes…because I’m klassy like that.
And then I stood in the rain for about an hour that night looking for tornados with the sirens all yelling their fool heads off.
Kinda hard to look professional if you can’t wear you bra the next day because it’s still SOAKED.
    Yay, Oklahoma!!

Well it’s nice to have you here in the OK. Now we don’t have to listen to your braggity bragging about SoCal. Ha ha! That Gary England drinking game sounds like fun.

This weather is sucktastic. Nothing like 95 degree heat with 75 mph winds. Thanks, weather! Thanks for the steam-burn!

I’m off to read the Father’s Day Guide!

Yippee Skipee…I’ll be making my first summer trip to the great state of Oklahoma in just a couple of weeks…if winter was an example of what I should expect, well then, I’m in for a treat! :Þ

It was so windy in Tulsa the other day that my purse blew off of my arm and into the path of my friend. It was insane.
