1. No matter where you stand on the gun control issue, this article is so smart and so reasonable.

2. Sleep deprivation is the absolute worst for those of us in the 40-60 range. GREAT.

3. 9 microwave buttons you’ve never used. Seriously, does anyone use the popcorn/baked potato ones? Come on.

4. THIS. “In the world of yoga, the Internet, self-help, and many other realms I’m sure I’m skipping, there seems to be an endless quest to be better.” So feeling this post right now. A must read.

5. “It’s science, but also common sense: Choosing to focus on good things makes you feel better than focusing on bad things.” That gratitude thing kind of works, guys.

6. 100 best photographs without Photoshop. Love the one of New York.

7. Why 20-somethings are miserable. (Can you imagine how our little ones are going to feel?)

9. I’m writing about this next week, but I just had to share today. Have you heard of Beauty Heroes? It’s a monthly green beauty subscription box that sends one full-sized product a month. (None of that sample-sized stuff that you never use.) Anyway, it’s $39/month and this month’s product is Vintner’s Daughter Serum…um, you get a FULL-sized bottle (retails for $185) for 39 bones. Just had to tell you now because JUMP ON IT. It’s only “the face oil to end all face oils.” (Mine’s on the way.)

10. I can’t get enough of the James Cordoen ride-alongs with celebrities. This time, Carrie Underwood. Loving the harmony on this one.

    Thanks for the tip about the Beauty Heroes subscription. I’ve been receiving Birchbox forever and, while not awful, I don’t feel like it’s a good value and I don’t feel like it’s helping me discover products that I enjoy using. Just signed up for BH and looking forward to receiving it. Will everyone signing up now receive the Vintner’s Oil? I hope so — sounds amazing!

      I felt the same way about another green beauty box I was previously subscribed to…wasn’t using anything. However, Beauty Heroes seems so carefully curated, and the past choices have been amazing. Yes, I think everyone gets the oil….unless they sell out! (Hope not. I still haven’t gotten mine!)
