Odds and Ends No. 17

freckles

1. Eddie Redmayne, your freckles are beyond.

2. There are many things I love about Creature Comforts, but the Color Inspiration posts are the best.

3. I am feeling this curly, chin-length bob.

4. I must say, I’ve become relatively proficient in reading and breaking down food labels, and this post by A Dinner and a Love Story gives some great tips.

5. We are rapidly approaching Spring, folks. Bronzing 101.

6. Stop it with this banana bread. STOP IT. Banana bread is my kryptonite.

7. I’m not sure if this young lady swayed me either way, but I found this video on why you should cut a pixie very interesting.

8. Aha! I knew I wasn’t the only one digging on windowpane fabrics right now.

9. THERE’S ALWAYS MONEY IN THE BANANA STAND. We hung out on Balboa Island last weekend, and it was trés maginifique.

10. Got a few recommendations on the Facebook page, but would love to know more. Do you know of a great online or 1-day class that covers the technicalities of shooting video with a DSLR? (Lighting, white balance, exposure, so on and so forth…) Anyone? Anyone?

Happy weekend, everyone! Don’t forget to change your clocks on Saturday night!

I’m sure I’m not the first person to point out that Eddie Redmayne looks kind of like your husband :) He was fantastic in Les Mis.

I just made the banana bread … it is amazing and made our day as we are stuck at home due to an unexpected huge snow storm in CT. Thank you for sharing it!

I love this post. It’s like a ten course appetizer of perfect links I never would have found otherwise. Thanks so much.

I’m appreciative of your mention of the Spring forward that happens this weekend. Almost forgot!

I need to do some studying up on #5 (bronzing). I’m the palest pale person ever, especially after the awful winter we’re still having here in Boston. It’ll be nice to change that!

I know everyone’s an expert *eyeroll* AND that you haven’t asked for input lately but to give a super unsolicited thought, that bob looks like it would suck ass. Whoops, that was crude, but having suffered through every stage of grow-out in my early 20s, that cut and texture just screams out “One good hair day, many bad ones!” I’ve watched your hair thoughts with interest because it is pretty cool to make a change and I feel you could pull just about anything off. Even the bob. But I do think it’s a bad sign to be so focused on the escape hatch of the grow-out process. ANYWAY, as a positive sign-off, here’s to you and your awesome hair! How many people get their hair immortalized by Pantene?!?
