Nightline Segment

Before you watch the video, I must tell you that the horribly-named Swim Sweater is quite a hit with Wito. In fact, he refuses to take it off. Ever.

Out by the pool? Swim Sweater. Eating lunch? Swim Sweater. Playing with a puzzle in the living room? Swim Sweater. It’s almost as if the fabric-covered tube acts as a nice, comfortable armrest. And really, who wouldn’t want an armrest 24/7? It’s genius, I tell you! Visually hideous, yet genius.

We’re heading to dinner with high hopes of removing it before actually entering the public eatery. Wish us luck.

    awesome!

i have a couple questions though, is your mouse scroll doodad really that loud? or did they boost the volume of it to enhance its signs of the times-ness?

oh, i have buckets full of empathy over here for sand issues and toddler’s with lungs full of air. lucky for us, we have a pool at our disposal regardless of our close proximity to the pacific ocean (norcal’s beaches just dont really count like socal’s). last summer we used a spring float and it worked well. unfortunately it didnt store well and is now one giant hunk of nylon and metal coils. i actually ordered and recieved a swim sweater, but havent busted it out yet. i hope my 22mo old appreciates it as much as wito. enjoy the quality pool time!

Holly! Thank you! When I was watching it for the first time, I looked at D and asked, “What in the hell is that noise?” Actually, I do not use a mouse, just the trackpad on my laptop. That lovely noise was care of Nightline.

You look fantastic on TV! Maybe Hair Thursday should be a TV show. Or at least a weekly segment on Oprah.

I caught your segment on Nightline and was really intrigued. I’m a high school teacher and have tried to get my students to understand the power of the internet outside of what they see on their myspace page. That story was a great example.

Also, your site is cracking me up for a couple of reasons. I’m a father or four daughters and empathize with your parental “struggles” (relatively superficial though they are; no life-threatening diseases for either of our families). In addition, I’m a former Southern California resident and my wife and I are very familiar with your beach struggles (in fact I was visiting Newport with my 5 year old about a month ago–sand everywhere).

I have to take issue though with your indoctrination of young Wito in the Kansas Jayhawk way. As a UCLA alumnus, I know that there’s a school just up the 405 from you with a pretty good basketball tradition.

    Best wishes to you.

How exciting! Fabulous interview. And you totally pulled off those “I’m going to sit at my computer and act natural like nobody is totally zooming into my eyeballs with a camera right now” shots with the grace of a pro. Heehee.

What an incredibly exciting opportunity! Nightline? I mean, gah. Who would’ve thought Hair Thursdays would’ve reached such fame?

But with such a brilliant lady behind them, I guess we shouldn’t be too surprised.

    :)

How cute are you!?!?! That was totally awesome and rocked all sorts of heck!! Good job… Keep up the good work!!

And now back to the Wito stories over here… I’ve been wondering what the little guy has been up to? His feelings on having a famous mom and living the life of a celebrity? Is it hard on him? Do the paparazzi bother him… ;)

You are too cute! Also, you are fabulous on TV. Doing TV is much harder than it looks.
