Whoah! With all of this redesign business, I totally forgot to tell you about my little Emmy-watching soiree, sponsored by the lovely folks at Suave. I whipped up some tasty sangria and goodies and watched my hair stylist, Tera Rae Stephens, work her magic on all of the party guests. That’s right – we all were treated to a personal styling session, which resulted in some truly lovely hairstyles. Here are some shots from the evening!
The spread. (SANGRIAAHHHHHHHHHH.)
Chatting it up with the ladies.
Suave Professionals products. (p.s. – Suave Volumizing Finishing Hair Spray certainly did its job with all of our updos!)
Tera got right down to work.
I was totally coveting the feather in her hair!
My hair. (I have GOT to learn how to do this on my own!)
(I might have shed a tear when I brushed it out before bed.)
Tera’s updos were beyond chic, and I truly couldn’t pick a favorite.
Simply gorgeous, right?
Unfortunately, we had such a great time that we kind of forgot to watch the Emmys. Oops. Maybe next year.

Thanks, Suave, for giving this mama a much-needed girls’ night!

My hair might have stumped her. How do you up-do a short ‘do? ;-)

September 13, 2010 at 4:47 pmWhen I first saw the photo, I thought you did it yourself and I was SO excited to learn how. I need a professional to live at my house and make my hair look like that on a daily basis. On a different note…the new blog layout looks absolutely amazing!

September 16, 2010 at 6:49 amMy friend and I are both good at french braids, and when she saw the sideways wrap-around she made me work on it until we mastered it! My only problem is not being able to do it on myself! You’d get some very tired arms, I’m guessing, right?
