My Dream Hair

I’m definitely wanting to revisit blunt bangs this fall, and I found this inspiration over at the fabulous blog, Hair on the Brain.

photo from Garance Doré

I think I’m going to do it. No, I KNOW I’m going to do it. (Don’t talk me out of it.)

(Are you all reading Hair on the Brain? Listen to me, if you love hair, YOU MUST READ THIS BLOG. It is one of my very favorites!)

I love blunt bangs too. They’re a lot of work when you have them, but it’s really not a *huge* commitment, at least in my case – my hair grows so fast that by the time I was sick of the blunt bangs, all I had to do was skip a trim and they were sweep-to-the-side bangs.

Of course next week I’m getting a pixie with NO bangs. :)

I love blunt bangs (and side bangs and even baby bangs on the right person) but I just can never style them right. They always end up separating and looking stringy instead of being a solid curtain of bangs.

I *do* read HOTB and remember wishing I could pull that off. (It would require a commitment to my flat-iron that I am not ready for.) Great picture!

The photo came from the amazing and always inspiring site, Garance Dore! Isn’t her hair to die for?

You should totally do blunt bangs! You would look awesome.

And thanks so much for the compliment, Sarah! That means so much to me. I’ve loved your site since before I even started Hair On The Brain.

    You made my day. :)

I am not able to wear bangs. My cowlick combined with bangs(is that even spelled right?) only came in handy in the early 90’s. My 11 year old daughter though, rocks the blunt bangs.
