I need to go back right now.
Thank you to the Westin Maui for sending us to paradise. I’ll be posting about our trip at Babble starting this week.

May 17, 2012 at 2:28 pmI am sooo jealous! Despite 30+ years in California I’ve never made the trip to Hawaii. It’s on our “vacations in the next 5 years” plan…now i may have to bump it up to the next 12 months!
Would love it if you would do a follow up post about how you are working out/staying fit these days….you look great in a two piece!

May 17, 2012 at 2:41 pmGah! We stayed there last year and now I want to go back…IMMEDIATELY!
p.s. Where is your sun hat from?

May 17, 2012 at 2:50 pmJ. Crew! It’s perfect – crushable/packable, good sun coverage, but not too huge and floppy. Highly recommend!

May 17, 2012 at 7:28 pmI was in Hawaii for 3 weeks back in October, and MY brain is still there! I absolutely adore almost every aspect of Hawaii (I could do without the traffic and high prices). When I die, I want my ashes to be spread in the blue Hawaiian waters.

May 18, 2012 at 9:29 amGreat video! It had such a dream-like quality. It also reminded me a lot of the vacation videos of my mom and aunt that my grandfather shot back in the 60s and 70s on super 8. I’m sure you’ll cherish this video for years and years to come.

May 18, 2012 at 11:54 amSarah – Great video! Makes me want to book tickets now! On a side note, can you tell me what camera or software (or both) you used to get that fabulous “home movie from the 70’s” feel?

May 18, 2012 at 12:26 pmHi Kavita! I used an app called 8mm. It is AWESOME – totally shoots video from your iPhone in old school format.

May 18, 2012 at 8:01 pmJust lovely….blog posts like these are soul soothing and a joy to look at when everything has gone to heck in a handbasket this week in my life.
Hawaii is a magical promise that there are perfect places in this world. If the stars align, my husband and I will have a chance to visit there ourselves later this year, although our pictures will be of a middle aged couple and not of a lovely family such as yours. I’m so glad you had a wonderful time.
