1. I’m writing a weekly column that I really, really, REALLY love. The fine folks at Brita have started the Filter For Good challenge, which has already eliminated over 100 million plastic water bottles to date. (You should take the pledge yourself!)

Along with 5 other bloggers, I will be posting once a week (on Thursdays…what is up with me and Thursdays?) with simple ways to become more environmentally-friendly in your own home. (Kind of like this post I wrote here.) I’ve added a widget in my sidebar with my most recent posts. You should check it out, you know, if you give a rat’s ass about helping our planet. NO PRESSURE, MWHAHAAAAAA.

2. Today’s post at The Working Closet has some damn cute coats, if you are interested in a fine piece of outerwear. Personally, it has been 90 degrees here, so I’m hoping this post is equivalent to some sort of internet rain dance. (They say the high is 68 degrees today…I’m not buying it.)

Also, why haven’t you joined the Working Closet Flickr Pool? I want to know what you are wearing to work, people! For research, of course! Ahem. It doesn’t have to be some fancy setup, for crying out loud, I take mine in a mirror with my iPhone.

HI-TECH. (Please ignore the hair. This was a couple of hours before a much-needed cut.)

C’mon, if you can’t eradicate plastic water bottles from your life, you can at least take a photo of what you are wearing. I need some inspiration. DO IT FOR YOUR COUNTRY.

You don’t want to see what I wear every day. Heck, I don’t want to see what I wear every day.

Um, I work for the gov’t. We have NO dress code. I think the only thing that would draw weird looks would be pajama pants. At least half the week, I wear jeans and a t-shirt. My neighbors have finally quit asking if I have the day off when they see me walking the dog in the morning. (Actually, it’s that question that prompted me to promise myself that at least one day a week I’d wear non-denim to work.)

I can relate. Almost all of my photos in the Flickr pool are of me in jeans and a couple in (gasp!) workout clothes. What can I say? I work at home.

Well, I salute you for being loyal to your flats! For some reason when I wear a dress like the one you’ve got on, I can not resist that extra oomph that a heel gives my figure. I know you love your flats, but I’ve also read that you’re not opposed to a high heel boot. So even though it’s none of my business and you look GREAT in whatever you wear, what’s with the aversion to heels that aren’t boots? Is it the whole California casual deal? Did you have to wear them every day as a Pharm. Sales Rep and develop a hatred? I feel like I’m questioning the teacher, but I’ve been thinking about it for a couple of hours after I read your post so I had to ask! Don’t you think Stacy from What Not To Wear would be begging you to try a heel and show off your legs to their full potential? I just don’t know how you resist!
PS Your hair is always beautiful!
PPS I don’t have a Flickr account so if I’ve just missed out on you wearing your heels – forget I said anything!
PPPS God, I hope you’re not mad!

Cute, I wish my hair looked as good as yours on a good day.

When I figure out how to take a good picture of myself (still photog-challenged), I’ll join the flickr pool!

I am head over heels for that dress.

And I, too, have yet to master the art of taking pictures of myself in the mirror. It’s too dark by my mirror, but a flash would be a disaster.

    Maybe I’ll understand eventually.

Is that dress from J.Crew? If yes, I have the same one and I love it! I just saw that they have it on sale and in gray.

Right now my Working Closet photo would be the same as my pajamas. Since most days I don’t change out of them.

I should post. It will make everyone feel good about their clothes. Because they won’t be as bad as the unemployed blogger in PJs. :)

Since I am still on mat leave you don’t want my warobe to inspire you. When I am downtown with tmy little gut I envy all the women with their hair, make-up ad business casual attire. They look so put together. But they don’t have my job or my litte guy to come home and I wouldn’t trade that for the world.
