Happy New Year, everyone!
For the second week in a row, Hair Thursday has fallen on a holiday. (YAY FOR HOLIDAYS!) However, I promise to be back on schedule starting next week.
In the meantime, why don’t you resolve to try this new hairstyle in 2009? That is, if you can deal with watching me babble for 6 minutes. (Please try not to fixate on the gross oven burn on my arm – I made this video one week after a Thanksgiving Cooking Accident.)
If you have any questions about the video and/or hairstyle, please leave them in the comments and I’ll try my best to answer to the best of my knowledge.

January 1, 2009 at 7:38 amClearly this does nothing for me but you are inspiring me to get off my butt and do my own hair video.
P.S. Your voice does not kill squirrels.

January 1, 2009 at 2:21 pmhee, you are too cute whoorl. I have tried this, but it takes a lil while to get the feel for turning the iron. At least for me. I think the key is probably length, and wrist flexion!

January 3, 2009 at 9:48 pmThis video was great. Only sad thing is that I chopped off my long hair six months ago and can’t put this to use. I am experiencing severe hair envy and am contemplating growing out my hair now.

January 5, 2009 at 8:55 amWhat is this BS about your voice killing squirrels? You have a fine, ahem, great voice. When I grow out my Cate Blanchett I will try this technique. I actually love the cut, but my grays are so bad right now and i dont’ have an appt. until Wed – I considered a home color job, but then thought better of it. Nothing good can come from home coloring unless your stylist picks out the color for you and you have an extra set of hands to help you get the back. Wow – verbal diarrhea. Sorry!

January 5, 2009 at 6:27 pmLove the tutorial – I’ve seen a few, but this is the first that makes it look simple!
And yes, fab voice to go with a fab girl!
Question: I have a 1″ curling iron right now and am thinking of getting a larger barreled one for softer curls – what size would you recommend?
