Hipiti – Simplify Your Shopping (+ Giveaway!)

For two years now, I’ve tried to complete a 90-Day No Shopping Challenge at the first of the year. I’ve failed both times. (I made it 8 and 9 weeks, though. Doesn’t that count for ANYTHING?)

The first thing I do when gearing up for the challenge is unsubscribe from every single retail/flash sale email distribution list possible. You’d be surprised how much less temptation you feel when you don’t wake up to 89,000 sale emails in your inbox every morning. It’s refreshing, quite actually.

But here’s the deal. There are a few stores that I want to keep around – you know, my tried and true favorites. Wouldn’t it be fab if you could learn about all of your favorite retailer promotions in one place (or email)?

Enter Hipiti. Hipiti is all about reducing retail clutter in your inbox, as well as making shopping for sales at your favorite retailers easier and faster. Hipiti is completely customizable, so you only get the offers you want, as frequently as you want them. In addition, Hipiti’s innovative technology makes searching for discounts (online or using your smartphone) simple and quick.

Take a look for yourself! Here’s my dashboard.

At the moment, I’m following 7 stores, and I can control exactly what kind of information I see from each one.  Hipiti has awesome filtering capabilities on the email and dashboard – this way you will only get emails on the type of offer you’re most interested in. (For example, only offers that start today or end today; only offers with a promo code, etc.)

I am loving this website hard right now – one email in my inbox a day, and a great user dashboard. Because let’s face it, people. I’m never going to completely cut out clothing shopping. Nope, no can do. However! I can focus on the exact retailers I want, and cut out the rest of the fluff.

Soooo, Hipiti is in private beta right now, but you can start using it via this link. Try it out – I think you might like it. Also, because the co-founders Rama and Kristin rock the casbah, they are offering one lucky commenter a $50 gift certificate to your favorite shopping destination! Yep, wherever your heart desires. How cool is that? Just leave a comment on this post by Friday, July 13th (spooky) at 6pm PST, and you’ll be entered to win. Good luck!

This is fantastic! I was thinking, just this morning, about how much I would love to reduce the clutter in my inbox. I would love to know about sales without the daily e-mails! I’m signing up today.

Great idea! I unsubscribe from everything about once a year too, and yet a couple of months later I’m somehow back where I started with a full inbox…
