1. In the midst of a chat about Wito with my parents on Skype, my father interjected from left field, “How are you EVER going to get to 365 if you keep skipping your Grace in Small Things posts?” Thanks for the reminder, Dad.
2. Contacts that don’t make my eyeballs feel drunk.
3. My Magic 8 Ball (It’s always right!)

February 6, 2009 at 10:43 pmContacts and glasses aren’t supposed to make your eyeballs feel drunk? Well, crap! I haven’t worn glasses in so long and my eyes had gotten pretty bad, so things have been a little trippy since I got the specs. I assumed that was normal. Oops!

February 6, 2009 at 10:45 pmWe were fortunate enough to see Dave Brubeck in concert last year; what an amazing show.
Thankful that I don’t have to wear contacts, I hate touching my eyes!

February 7, 2009 at 9:02 amI think my magic 8 ball is biased. It seems to be giving me the answers I want to hear, not necessarily the ones that will happen, oh well.

February 8, 2009 at 7:11 ami know you aren’t shopping now, but i just received a catalog from http://www.bodenusa.com; have you seen it? OMG…some really good looking stuff – just “window” shopping, of course…for me, too, since we just found out that our first little one is on the way. it’ll be elastic pants for me for a while!

February 8, 2009 at 2:56 pmI have to agree on the Snickerdoodle dough… though the homemade batch my bf made is even better!
Oh, and I’m glad you like your contacts!

February 8, 2009 at 8:38 pmI was going to ask about the contacts too – tired of feeling (and looking) drunk in the middle of the day.

February 9, 2009 at 7:18 pmAs for the contacts, after trying every pair known to man, the ones that worked best for me were Ciba Air Optix. (They are monthlies.)
And the TJ’s Snickerdoodle dough is to die for. Seriously.

February 10, 2009 at 9:40 amI’ve had two Lasik surgeries. TWO! And, I still can’t see. But, after the surgeries I can’t even wear contacts because my eyes are so dry, and putting contacts on dry eyes is pretty much just like walking around with sand, and eyelashes, and gravel in your eyes. Believe it or not, I’m still glad I got the surgery. I can, at least, take the kids to the pool and not lose them in a blur.
