Disqualified

Well, so much for NaBloPoMo…

I’m back in the states and feeling much better. Unfortunately, the food poisoning wasn’t from an over-indulgence of alcohol (I wish) but a teeny tiny piece of yellowtail sushi from a very fancy resturant. D and I ate the exact same thing and he was perfectly fine. Oh, I’m such a lucky girl. Additionally, the gastric meltdown didn’t improve after 24 hours like I was told, but morphed into a 101 degree fever and a slightly panicked trip to Dr. Alfonso at the “American” Hospital in Cabo.

The trip pretty much sucked, but let’s look at the silver lining.

1) If I were forced to experience food poisoning again, being waited on hand and foot at my grandparent’s home in Cabo isn’t so bad.

2) Stubborn post-pregnancy weight? Hasta La Vista!

Way to look on the bright side. Being sick has some bittersweet aspects to it. :)

No fun! Welcome back. And, hey, without NaBloPoMo you have much more time to kiss on that sweet baby of yours. :)

I have to agree that getting sick at your Grandparents gorgeous home certainly has benefits. Losing the weight, that judging by your photos, you really didn’t need to lose, is just such a bonus.

Great photo of you and your little guy!

well, I guess it’s good you’re looking on the bright side of things ;) I’m glad to hear you are doing better though… eek. Food poisoning is the WORST.

I’ve heard people refer to food poisoning in Mexico as Montezuma’s revenge. Kinda like Delhi Belly.

You and Anders look great, the background wasn’t too bad either.

Great pics! I’ve been wishing for a little intestinal parasite to get rid of some weight I’ve added thanks to football season, and the beer and food that goes along with it. Maybe a trip to Cabo is in the cards…

i guess that is the bright side- to have a group of people to care for you rather than suffering alone at home. but no matter, being on vacation and not feeling well is never fun. i’m glad you are doing better!
