Best of the Best: Violette_FR

Best of the Best is a series showcasing my favorite, tried-and-true, go-back-again-and-again skincare and cosmetics. Being a beauty content creator, I’m in a constant state of flux with skincare and cosmetics, as I’m always trying new products. However, these brands are always in my rotation and are worthy of my highest recommendation.

Violette_FR is such a lovely brand founded by the quintessentially chic (and French!) Violette Serrat that really speaks to me on a personal level because her entire ethos is about celebrating individuality and differences rather than fixating on trends. On top of that, Violette_FR’s products are clean, effective, luxurious, and accessible.

Let’s just say as this line has grown and evolved, I’ve become quite a fan. Let’s talk about my favorite products!

Bisou Balm

The Bisou Balm formula is like nothing I’ve ever experienced – it’s just the most gorgeous flush of sheer, matte color. The texture feels like a lipstick/balm hybrid but barely there and it leaves a blurred effect around the edges, which creates the look of a fuller lip. (And who doesn’t want that?)

Yeux Paint

The Yeux Paint liquid eyeshadow is super pigmented and can be worn as a liner or blended out on the eyelids. (You need to work quickly though because this formula definitely stays put!) I adore both the matte and twinkling textures and love to mix and match.

Bisou Blush

Ohhh, how I adore this matte-cream blush. It totally melts into the skin to create a natural, fresh-faced flush of color. The swirl of marbled pigments to delivers a multi-dimensional wash of color that looks very natural and the attached brush allows you to easily apply and blend on the spot. My two favorite shades are Inès and Louise. (Louise is fantastic for those with red skin and/or rosacea.)

Petal Bouche Matte

Intensely matte and pigmented, seriously the Petal Bouche Matte is the most sexy lipstick out there. Love both shades equally!

Boum-Boum Milk

Hello, toner, serum, and moisturizer all in one. The Boum-Boum Milk is super hydrating and soothing on my sensitive skin in my skincare routine, but I really love it throughout the day whenever my skin starts to look blah. I just spray it right over my makeup for some instant hydration and glow.

Avec Amour

It’s probably no surprise to those who follow my fragrance recs that I love Avec Amour. I’m definitely a musky, skin-like fragrance gal, and this vetiver/amber fragrance is super sensual and cozy.

Frange Puff

The best dry shampoo, y’all. I love the minimal scent, the volumizing effect, the ease of blending into my dark hair, and the built-in brush that makes application a breeze. Frange Puff FTW.
