Best of the Best: Fitglow Beauty Lip Colour Serums

The Best of the Best is a series showcasing my favorite, tried-and-true, go-back-again-and-again green beauty brands. Being a beauty blogger, I’m in a constant state of flux with skincare and cosmetics, as I’m always trying new products. However, these brands are always in my rotation and are worthy of my highest recommendation.

from top to bottom: Go, Buff, Nudie, Liv, Root

I am such a fan of Fitglow Beauty. From their Redness Rescue Cream, which is a godsend to those with redness/rosacea/sensitivity, to their Conceal + (a full coverage concealer sent straight from the undereye gods), I am so on board with the products and philosophy of this company.

However, there is one product that is legitimately coveted by yours truly. We’re talking Holy Grail here. I simply cannot live without the Lip Colour Serums.

These lip serums are so much more than lip gloss. They plump, they hydrate, they make my lips look impossibly fuller. And the scent? Straight from vanilla mint heaven. Never sticky or too “glossy,” they feel absolutely amazing on the lips. I truly can’t say enough about these serums.

So how do these serums make my lips so dang soft and lovely? Well, they are made with Organic Pomegranate Plant Sterols, Beet Extract, Vegan Collagen, and antioxidants that help improve lip cell structure and health, as well as diminishing fine lines. (Which this 43-year-old very much appreciates.) Organic pomegranate sterols penetrate lips and hold double their weight in water to increase hydration, improve moisture barrier function, and enhance lip fullness. Vegetable micro collagen is fundamental to maintaining the structure firmness and plumpness of lips, and Organic beet extract improves lip circulation to promote detoxification and plumpness. And what about this plumping? How does it happen exactly? Well, it occurs due to a combination of organic phospholipids from bio ferment extracts that naturally plump the lips without irritation. The moisture in our skin causes these vessels to swell, resulting in a minimized appearance of fine lines and increased lip fullness.

BAM. Plump lips ahoy.

My two most-loved colors? It’s tough, but I I would have to say…

Buff – a creamy, toffee nude (it was limited edition, sadness)

Nudie – creamy cool pink nude

I adore those two, although Deep (from the Holiday Duo) comes in a very solid 3rd. I love Deep’s gorgeous merlot color. It’s the darkest of the shades I have, but still looks impossibly chic day and night.

Right now, Fitglow is offering their Holiday Lip Colour Serum Duo which is just gorgeous! The two shades in this duo are Juice (a lovely cherry red) and Deep (a darker Merlot). The two shades are so wearable and leave the prettiest red wash on the lips – they look beautiful on a variety of cool and warm skin tones.

Can you compare these to the Vapour Elixer Gloss? Loner lasting? More plumping? Colors? I love Vapour’s Shiva Rose and Bitten, wondering if Fitglow is worth the extra $$. Thank you!!

Fitglow is creamier and makes my lips look plumper. Plus, it’s a serum so it actually leaves my lips feeling/looking better. (And the scent is to die for.)

I love the Fitglow Lip Serums! They really are so good, I only have one, but I am eyeing the root colour because it looks so great for Autumn! I also love their foundation :)

Would you be able to compare these glosses in terms of creaminess/hydration to the Kosas lipsticks? Those are the only lipsticks I’m able to wear because any others dry my lips out.
    Thank you!
