Because you are on the edge of your seats…

The Cheesecake Marbled Brownies I made for the bake sale this past weekend were a hit. Thank you to the lovely Holly, who not only also shares an intense addiction to white noise machines (we realized this while rooming together at the Broad Summit), but gives fantastic bake sale advice.

(Currently enjoying the Quiet Noise iPhone app, by the way. I highly recommend the air conditioner sound.)

Did I mention that when it comes to bake sale recipes, I’m set for the next 60 years? Thanks to you and you and you, the next time I need to bake something, I am going to use random.org to pick a recipe from your comments.

However, my baking did not end at the marbled brownies. No sirree. When I popped those babies in the oven, I realized I had 80% of the chocolate chips remaining, so I made these chocolate chip cookies. (All before 7:30 am on a Saturday. I am baker, hear me ROAR.)

cookies

So good, so good, so good. In fact, there are crumbs all over my laptop as I type this. You might want to make some this very minute.

OMG, those brownies look so tasty!

Also, when I make chocolate chip cookies, I will ONLY make the Ghiradelli ones. I bought their chocolate chips on sale one time years ago and figured the recipe on the back was as good as any. Those are some of the best cookies I’ve ever had!

Phew! Thank goodness for this post. The anticipation was killing me. I guess I need to try these cheesecake brownies if the Bang Brigade is this enamored of them. :)

Oh yay, I’m so glad you made my brownies! Um, not MY brownies — I guess they’re Deb’s brownies if they’re anyone’s brownies — but still. And what a coincidence! I bought some chocolate chips this weekend! I think I have my after-work activity taken care of!

I made the brownies last month and it took all my self control not to eat the entire pan by myself. Speaking of self control, I am kind of hating you for posting that pumpkin brownie recipe. Two batches later I am thinking of sending you the bill for the personal trainer I need to hire to fit back into my pants. Delicious!

Yay! Glad you loved them. I was actually going to suggest these peanut butter brownies, but then I thought it would be tacky of me to pimp out my own, uh, recipe site. On a post where you ask for recipe ideas. Yeah, I know, I’m cuckoo.

I brought the pumpkin brownies to work today. I love them SO MUCH. Thank you for sharing those, they held up quite well all day, covered, until the meetings I brought them to. Double yum!

Congratulations on the bake sale success–! I am inspired to get-a-bakin’ as they say here in the south. And, on an unrelated note, I sure could use a white noise machine recommendation. Thank you, S.!

Food porn aside (because there is no other way to describe those brownie photos) I love you even more because of your love of white noise. My husband mocks me and our little noise machine that I MUST HAVE ON every single night. It’s part of my nightly routine.

(Even on the nights that I put in earplugs to make sure I fall asleep right away. Jay is all, “Earplugs and a noise machine? REALLY?”)

    It’s fun.
