Happy Friday! Today, I’m dishing up a hair tutorial that I filmed yesterday on Facebook Live. It was my first time to film a live tutorial, which was an interesting experience. (I enjoyed it, actually! Might need to start filming more.)
One of the perks of Facebook Live is that viewers can ask you questions live, however, for some reason, a glitch occurred and the comments didn’t come through – so the second video in this post is me addressing the questions that I saw after the fact. Hopefully, this won’t happen in the future.
The products and tools I use on my hair are all listed here.
Hair products mentioned are Josh Rosebrook Lift and Josh Rosebrook Styling Cream. All green, of course!
And here are some of the viewer questions answered.
Hope that was helpful! Good luck and good styling!

June 17, 2016 at 8:03 amThanks for sharing your tutorial and tips! Turns out this is how I curl my hair too – it’s just SO much easier and faster than a curling iron! I’ll never go back. Also, I can’t wait to try those styling products!

June 17, 2016 at 8:09 amThank you for the great tutorial! One question…do you put anything on your head/hair when you are in the shower on the days you don’t wash your hair? I currently use a shower cap on the days I don’t wash my hair and my hair ends up frizzing. Any tips?

June 17, 2016 at 8:17 amYou are welcome! I use a plain old shower cap. :) You might want to quickly blow through your hair with a hair dryer after wearing a shower cap to reduce any frizz!

June 17, 2016 at 1:29 pmThanks for this great tutorial! I love your hair! My question is: how do you manage your hair in between washings? Do you have to re-style/re-curl each day? I get all kinds of weird bumps and cowlicks in the back of my hair after a night of sleep, and I feel like I have to start over again. Also, what shampoo and conditioner do you use? Thanks!

June 17, 2016 at 3:47 pmYou are welcome! Nope, I don’t restyle each day. In fact, I rarely brush it or anything. I just kind of roll with it, but I really like a messy, lived-in look.
I use Innersense shampoo and conditioner: https://whoorl.com/2016/02/my-favorite-natural-and-organic-haircare/

June 20, 2016 at 1:45 pmThanks for the tutorial. I’ve been using the method for a few years and it does take practice. I also only wash a couple times a week and sometimes still use my curling iron and the wrap method too. It really depends on when I reach into the closet on which tool I my hand touches first. This morning it was the curling iron and then I hit the gym at lunch and pulled it all up into a high pony. Afterwards I simple shook it out and fuffed it up again and it’s perfect now.
