Adorable Summer Dress (+ Swim Cover-up) Alert

ss1

For the past few years, I’ve been a bit obsessed with International Goodwill Ambassador (and supermodel) Liya Kebede’s line of handmade garments, especially her swim cover-ups and tunics. Her company called Lemlem was started as a way of providing Ethiopian weavers with a means to escape poverty, and although I fully support the idea, the $200-$300 price tag is more than I want to spend.

Last week, while returning some shorts to LOFT (I can’t do 4-inch shorts, people. However, 5-inch? Perfection.), I saw this summer dress and fell in love. It reminded me so much of the Lemlem dresses, but the price was much less expensive. ($64.99! p.s. – it’s an additional 40% off online RIGHT NOW. You’re welcome.)

I wore the heck out of it during our trip to Palm Springs last weekend, and it was perfect. A great swim/beach cover-up, but could also be worn easily as a summer dress too.

(Our trip to Palm Springs was so much fun. I’m still going through our photos right now, but Kristen has a great photo recap on her blog.)

This dress from the Loft looks far better on you than on the model! Also, your fedora goes perfect with it.
    Have a beautiful day!

What size is the loft dress you are wearing? Very cute!

      It’s a XS. (I usually wear a 0 or 2 in dresses.)

Ordered! Hoping it fits, I have trouble with dresses that aren’t A-line because I’m smaller on top than bottom. It looks fabulous on you!
