A Must-See for Downton Abbey Fans

It’s no secret that I’m a huge Downton Abbey fan. In fact, instead of being a normal fan who waits until Sundays to watch the next new episode on PBS, I scour the internet looking for the episodes (which have already run in the UK), and watch them on my laptop. In bed. Maybe 2 or 3 hour-long episodes IN A ROW. D thinks I’ve lost it.

So, what I’m trying to tell you is…I’ve seen all of Season 2 and I KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WITH LADY MARY AND MATTHEW.

If you love the show as much as I do, you must watch this. I can so relate. Happy weekend!

Am I the only one out there that sort of wishes that Lord Grantham and the maid (was it Kate?) had had their fling? Naughty, but I thought they had good chemistry and felt very disappointed when she decided to be noble and turn in her resignation. I wonder if we’ll see her again, seeing as she lives in the village. I actually cried at the scene when she goes in and tells him she’s leaving. And my favorite line from last week’s 2-hour was when the chauffeur is about to paid off by Lord Grantham and says “You think that the rich have a monopoly on honor”.

I peeked ahead at the Christmas special on YouTube…so I know what’s going to happen, but hopefully will be sitting down tonight to watch part of it!

Don’t fret I do the same thing! I watched the entire first season in a couple days of sitting in carpool line. Then I caught on on Season 2 last weekend on my laptop watching it nonstop for hours!
I have asked my husband to refer to me as m’lady.

OMG, hilarious! O’Brien is totally prettier lately, hmmm.

If anyone wants to catch up, you can watch on the PBS website.

Can’t wait for the updated Upstairs/Downstairs this Spring. The 1st season of the original is on Netflix – I’ll probably be watching that all at once once weekend in the not too distant future!

OMG, this is what I must look like to my hubby every Sunday night! So funny. As I scrolled through the comments I caught “paper dolls”, I think my Sarah is going to need some of those!

I just fell off my chair laughing at this. Begged my hubby to watch it and swore it was amazing, and he just stared at me insisting it’s a girls show. Turns out, he may be right. This show requires girls and wine. : )

I love the show. I’m an American living in the UK (literally a few minutes from Downton Abbey/Highclere Castle.) Also, I worked at a hotel nearby the crew and some of the cast stayed at while filming the last 2 seasons. The stories I could tell! This show has received such high remarks here in England, that I find it amazing that it’s just as obsessed over in America.
