It’s no secret that I’m a huge Downton Abbey fan. In fact, instead of being a normal fan who waits until Sundays to watch the next new episode on PBS, I scour the internet looking for the episodes (which have already run in the UK), and watch them on my laptop. In bed. Maybe 2 or 3 hour-long episodes IN A ROW. D thinks I’ve lost it.
So, what I’m trying to tell you is…I’ve seen all of Season 2 and I KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WITH LADY MARY AND MATTHEW.
If you love the show as much as I do, you must watch this. I can so relate. Happy weekend!

February 17, 2012 at 11:42 amOkay that made me CRACK up. I just sent this link to my husband Tim (who I just found out went to school with you!) and we are both laughing. Awesome. LOVE Downton Abbey! (Does anyone else think Mr. Bates looks a little like a turtle?)

February 17, 2012 at 1:29 pmWhat? That’s crazy! Tell him I said hello!
(And yes, Bates TOTALLY looks like a turtle, now that you mention it…)

February 20, 2012 at 4:33 pmThe actor that plays Bates is also fantastic in the BBC presentation of Elizabeth Gaskell’s “North & South”. If any of you are looking for another period piece to immerse yourself in, I highly recommend it!

February 17, 2012 at 11:54 amI did not know the other season 2 episodes were out there…now I am on a hunt online. Even my 5 yr old is into it (calls it the Castle show with all the princesses).

February 17, 2012 at 12:08 pmI’m very late to the Downton bandwagon, but I’m so very glad I finally got on board! I LOVE IT, TOO. I still have the last episode before Sunday’s finale to watch this weekend, and I’m SOO looking forward to it.

February 17, 2012 at 12:25 pmDarcy and I plowed through the first season in one day and then were hungry for more immediately. It’s a highlight of our Sunday and I don’t want it to end ever! It will crush me like the end of Deadwood did.

February 17, 2012 at 1:30 pmI never saw Deadwood. Was it fantastic?
Rachel
February 20, 2012 at 4:32 pmDeadwood is SO fantastic, but didn’t end properly. Those HBO bastards were supposed to make two movies to wrap it up and they didn’t for some reason…
If you’re in the mood for cowboy boots, pistols, whores and some F-bombs (just a FEWWWW!), check out Deadwood.
Oh, and Timothy Olyphant is SO delicious.

February 17, 2012 at 12:26 pmYes! That is so me.
And I caught up, too. SO I KNOW WHAT HAPPENS, TOO! (No really, I had to catch up and watch them all. Christmas Special, you were so perfect)

February 17, 2012 at 1:31 pmChristmas Special rocked my world.

February 17, 2012 at 12:49 pmWhere do you watch these episodes? I ask because I’m currently on my way to an exciting weekend getaway, but all I’m thinking about is how I forgot to set the damn DVR to record the season finale on Sunday! (also, racking my brain over who I can call and ask to go to my apt and set up a recording for me. Pathetic!)

February 17, 2012 at 3:44 pmI watched it via Expat Shield—amazing invention. I liked it, but liked the first season better. The Christmas special was the best!!

February 17, 2012 at 7:25 pmHaaaaaaaaa….That video is ah-mazing. I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS SHOW. (I have to wait on others to watch new episodes. Thus am several eps behind you in Season Two. Paaainful. I need a serious marathon to catch up in time for Sunday finale!)

February 17, 2012 at 10:51 pmI know what happens too! My sister bought season 2 on dvd and I couldn’t watch them fast enough. Love that show.

February 17, 2012 at 11:07 pmI don’t watch Downton, but this was brilliant. Maybe now I should tune in?!

February 18, 2012 at 12:26 pmThe video is awesome! I love how I can tell what part they are seeing based on their reactions. I have a friend coming over on Monday to watch the newest two episodes. One has been sitting on my DVR since Monday and I haven’t watched it. It taunts me.
I can’t wait for season 3!

February 19, 2012 at 4:28 pmI love that video. It reminds me if my sister and I. I love Downtown Abbey, but am so behind. I still have not finished season one.
