30 Weeks – Belly Goes Pop!

I may be a late bloomer, but there’s no mistaking now that a little girl will be here soon. Let’s celebrate by eating a pint of Trader Joe’s Mint Chip Ice Cream!

(To all my fellow Peppermint Ice Cream lovers who live thousands of miles away from an actual Braum’s store, this Mint Chip ice cream from Trader Joe’s has an incredibly similar flavor. There aren’t actual peppermint pieces in the Mint Chip, but that wasn’t my favorite part of the Braum’s version anyway. It’s damn good, is all I’m sayin’.)

(Did I just write an entire paragraph about ice cream? How NOVEL, considering my current state.)

I pout often that we don’t have Trader Joes here, but we do have Braums and Bueno and Sonic and well… I guess I take them for granted. I’d still rather have a Trader Joes. What’s up with that Oklahoma?

Also, you look lovely. I was wondering if you were ever going to start actually looking pregnant. Can’t wait to see that baby.

Carissa, I about crapped my pants when we got a Sonic here – one of the best days of my life. ;) Now if I could get a Bueno and Johnnie’s, I’d be set.

Beautiful! So svelte for 30 wks! (and said with admiration, nothing else). I just checked out the pics of you and your sis that are the “you might also like…” below and, whoa! Wito looks so much like Lala! I def see the Whoorl family resemblance. Can’t wait to see Wita!

You look great. I popped at 30 minutes, let alone weeks. I looked so miserable for my entire pregnancy. It got so bad in the end I couldn’t even find a mirror in my house that would capture my entire body in it.

Ha! No joke, just last week I bought 2 things of TJ’s mint chip! I had to go whole hog, though, and get whipped cream and chocolate sauce, too. My lil’ dude has quite the sweet tooth.

I’ve been following you since you were pregnant with Wito (I was pregnant too, and not nearly as cute as you! =)), and I remember you didn’t tell his name. There has been no discussion of girl names!! What gives?? Have you picked one out and keeping it secret, or are you not sure yet? Just curious.

Side note–I had a daughter almost 8 months ago and named her Sarah. =) Your middle name’s not Elizabeth, is it? Cause that would be freaky.

Catherine, Yay for babies named Sarah! (And I’m glad you spelled it with an ‘h’. Crucial, I say!!)

And yes we have picked a name for her, but will keep it a secret until she is born, just like we did with Anders. That way, there is still a little element of surprise when she arrives. :)

You’re still so tiny! And cute! I may just hate you! Not really, of course, but I would kill to eat a pint of ice cream with the excuse of “it’s for the baby!”. That excuse doesn’t fly when the “baby” is 20 months old and running around.

    You look great!

I’m a little jealous that you’ve decided on a name for your little girl. B and I just keep circling around our list of potential names. I like the names on my list, he likes the names on his. No overlap yet. I need to think of a different way for us to narrow our options down. For now, we are calling our little girl batman. We have 8 more weeks to make a decision :-)

um…you are so stinkin cute I cannot stand it. And a paragraph on ice cream is mild. I’m still drooling over the ic cream sandwich truck Emily at C&C wrote about a while back.

And as far as Oklahoma cravings….don’t forget the Drugstore. My personal fav.

As a fellow lover of mint ice cream, I concur, the Trader Joe’s is darn good. Although if you happen to be in the Seattle area this is my favorite these days:

Their Scout Mint is delicious and almost worth the 30 minute wait on a sunny afternoon. How can you go wrong with mint ice cream full of chunks of Girl Scout cookies?!?

Looking good, can’t believe she’ll be here so soon!
