Best of the Best: Ere Perez Cosmetics
The Best of the Best is a series showcasing my favorite, tried-and-true, go-back-again-and-again green beauty brands. Being a beauty blogger, I’m in a constant state of flux with skincare and cosmetics, as I’m always trying new products. However, these brands are always in my rotation and are worthy of my highest recommendation.
So, I’ve been slightly holding out on you in regards to the incredibly lovely cosmetics brand, Ere Perez. I’ve been using it for months and somehow managed to not mention anything to you guys via social media. (Not really sure how I kept my mouth shut for so long, but I can do it no longer! Must share immediately!)
This line has so many gems, and I’m over the moon about a few items I was previously (and sorely) missing in the green beauty realm. First off, a little bit about the brand itself. Ere Perez an Australian-owned company that prides themselves on producing healthy, natural makeup. Their carefully-selected premium quality ingredients (oils, plant extracts, and minerals) are blended with antioxidants to create a gentle, highly effective natural make-up solution. No parabens, talc, propylene glycol, BHT & BHA, petrolatum, lead, mineral oil, and synthetic fragrances will be found in any products, and they are never tested on animals.
The white packaging is totally chic and I love the overall ethos of the company, so let’s get down to the nitty-gritty and talk product details.
Let’s start with the Oat Milk foundation. Not too long ago, I wrote about my two favorite foundations and you guys, if you combined those two, Oat Milk foundation would be the result. I love it so much. The consistency of the product is super creamy, non-greasy, and it leaves the most gorgeous glow on my face. It effectively blurs fine lines and imperfections but doesn’t settle in lines or sit atop my pores. (Hate that.) I wear the color Chai and upon immediate application, it almost looks too yellow, but when it melts into my skin, it takes away all redness and looks very natural. I also love that it’s buildable and offers a medium-to-full coverage, and even when I wear it as full coverage, my skin can breathe. I never get clogged pores from this foundation either, which is a rarity for me.
Carrot Colour Pots in Harmony, Hello, and Holy
Holy pigment! The Carrot Colour Pots for lips and cheeks pack a punch. Friends, you just need to use the tiniest amount for the most incredible payoff. Harmony is a dusty pink, Hello is a bright poppy red, and Holy is a rich grape tone that looks so beautiful on. (I’m wearing Holy in the above look.) I can’t wait to wear Hello in the warmer months, and Holy will always be a staple of mine. I get so many compliments when I wear these balms!
Next up, the Avocado Waterproof Mascara. Yes, you heard me, there’s a natural waterproof mascara in green beauty town AND IT WORKS. This formula doesn’t budge on me, so much so that when I wash it off at night after wearing all day, I can still feel it gripping onto my eyelashes. This is a must-have for those of you looking for a waterproof mascara. Made with mamey and avocado oils, this puppy is waterproof, smudge-proof, has full black coverage and amazing 24-hour wear. This one is a no-brainer.
Also for the eyes, I love the Jojoba eye pencils. A gentle formula, but they do not smudge. I have Earth and Black, but I really have my eye on the Bronze shade. Heh, get it? #eyepuns #omg #stopitsarah
Ere Perez also has four eyeshadow palettes. I have Pretty, which has six easy-to-wear, neutral shades, and the colors are lovely, but I’m not super impressed with the pigmentation of the shadows. As always, I want to keep it real for you guys, and I just can’t find anything that compares the newly-formulated Beautycounter eyeshadow palettes. I have three of them and am about to pull the trigger on the rest because I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THOSE EYESHADOWS. Seriously, people. What are you waiting for? They are incomparable.
Okay! Slight tangent there, but we are back on track. Ere Perez! I’m digging this line. A lot. Any questions about the brand? As always, hit me up in the comments section. I’m happy to help if I can!
