So Smitten With This Hair

Yet another Pinterest gem, I came across a photo of the most lovely, sun-kissed hair color a few weeks ago. I clicked through to Box No. 216  and found an absolute mecca of gorgeous hair. (Seriously, I don’t even want to tell you how much time I’ve spent on the website.) Turns out Box No. 216 is the personal website of Johnny Ramirez, a colorist in LA, and ohhhhhh my gahhhhhh, I love him. I mean, his work. Whatever. According to his bio, Johnny is “a specialist in ‘California’ hair: subtle, versatile and beachy. Inspired by his 5 year old daughter’s perfect sun-kissed hair, he aims to recreate the best version of organic, true hair color.”

Take a look for yourself.

You all, I am borderline obsessed with this whole situation. I need to book an appointment STAT.

Those are some awesome afters! But Sarah, you don’t color your hair. Are you really going to take the plunge?

I totally am! (If that isn’t a testament of how beautiful his color is, I don’t know what is!) I think I’m going to wait until my hair gets a little longer, but I am going to take the plunge. :)

So so pretty hair colour. But I’m kinda bummed that all the cuts/styles pretty much look exactly the same. Long, middle part, mermaid curls…

I love how he took away the brassiness in some of the ladies’ before color. The colors all look healthy and natural which is awesome. Are you going to go ombre with your color? Or just some subtle highlights? I live in central California so not too bad of a drive if I want to try him out. Really gorgeous.

Kelly and Cass – this post is about his talent with color…I’m pretty sure he doesn’t cut hair.

I saw this on your Pinterest board and became obsessed, myself! But doesn’t he charge like 300-400 for color???

FYI, this guy charges a minimum of $500 for base color and highlights and needs 5 hours to get it done. I know nobody that has that kind of time in a single chunk or the kind of money to spend on hair. Oh, well!

Best hair colorist ever! Hands down…I did my hair with him on February and its still gorgeous!!! Be prepared to stay 12 hours while coloring your hair, he takes his time and it’s a looooooog process, also have your walllet ready for the big bucks!! Worth every penny! ;)

Oh, the fact that it takes all day makes me want to go even more! I love that it’s such a detailed process. Thanks for commenting, Lucia!
