Mama Likes Beards

Go ahead, scrunch up your face in utter disgust. Your fake gagging attempts do not phase me.

I find men with beards insanely sexy and will shout it from the hilltops! BEARDS! BEARDS! BEEEEEARDS!

(For the record, I do not appreciate moustaches, goatees or soul patches/flavor savors.)

(Oh, and the beard needs to be well-groomed with no sort of crazy growth. Kind of like my friend Brandon, a fellow Desperate Blogger.)

Wait. Why am I telling you all this?

Oh, RIGHT. Guess who is hosting this week’s Friday Eye Candy at Mamapop! And guess what all of my picks have in common! Go see for yourself.

(Seriously. Am I the ONLY person who loves beards?)

No. Not in the least. Since my bf has a corporate job, he generally stays clean-shaven. One of the best things about his annual 5-day trip to Montana to go skiing with the guys is that he comes back all mountain-man with a beard. I LOVE HIM WITH A BEARD.

It almost breaks my heart when he decides to shave it again, when it gets too itchy.

My guy often grows a beard, which is fine in the beginning, but he doesn’t keep it as groomed as I’d like to it be. Then it gets painfully scratchy (for me) and I gently nag for a few days until he shaves again. I’m all for beards in theory, but I have yet to meet a man who maintains his to perfection.

No, indeed. Beards rock. Your personal top picks intrigue me…. RPatz with a beard strikes me a bit like a child playing dress up. On the other hand, Jeffrey Dean Morgan? YUM.

Matthew has a goatee and I think it’s hot. Beards? Also hot.

    They’re…manly.

(Please tell me that the four of us will do a new photo every year. That photo brings me no end of glee, five months later.)

And mama marvels at manly men.

(Sorry. Had to do it…alliteration and all.)

We should most definitely shoot a new one every year. You can pick up Brandon on your way to down to see Danny and I!

Matthew has agreed that I need an annual winter holiday, so Desperate Bloggers 2.0 is SO ON.

Pick a date and I’m there. It sounds as though Brandon will be as well.

(Squees a little inside at the thought of us all together again.)

It’s not just you! My husband has a full beard (with moustache) in the Fall and Winter and trims it down to what I think is called a “VanDyke” in the Spring and Summer. I think it’s totally sexy.

Heading over to check out your Friday Eye Candy picks!

Yup. My husband has a beard, and I refuse to let him shave it. I love it.
