No Shopping Mandate is BACK ON

Damn, you all have some opinions about The Shopping. And here I was, thinking no one even read this damn blog anymore.

After careful thought and consideration, I have gone against the majority vote and decided to return two of the shirts. (No Shopping Mandate is BACK ON, SISSIES! YEAHHHHH.)

I am keeping the gray cardigan, which was the reason I stepped foot into the J. Crew money suckage vortex in the first place. After the return transaction, I will still have $15 on the J. Crew gift card. I’m fairly confident I can purchase one of the sales associates’ socks for 15 bucks. I know! Knock myself out!

In other news, I am making a last-minute trip to Oklahoma with Wito for some much-needed family time tomorrow morning. February was an incredibly hard month for me, and I am taking a little time to regain some focus.

Of course, raiding my father’s candy drawer with fierce intensity is also on my checklist. So there’s that.

Even though I voted for the keeping, solely because I am powerless over J.Crew, I’m glad you’re stickin’ to it.

Enjoy your family time. Sorry to read February was tough; here’s hoping March is a lot better. Take good care.

I voted for you to return the two things. But I didn’t want to leave a comment saying that’s how I voted in case you felt the need to come after all of the meanies that were twisting your arm about returning them. I’m a sissy like that.

But yay, so proud of you for returning them!

I would gladly strike February from the record if I could. It has been a mean, mean month.

    Anyway, have a great trip!

I think the sudden expenditure on a last minute trip concerns me more than two shirts…just sayin’. Maybe I am confused about the actual resolution though, so, you know, ignore me.

Just recently found your blog and love it – you’re hilarious!

Although I may determine to return, I have never successfully gotten out of a J.Crew without buying at least something. Good luck to you :)

Have fun in OK, sounds like a much needed vacay.

I have to tell you…I am super impressed. I have that slub cotton tee…and I like it alright but come on….how many times would you wear it?
This made me really think….how much have i shopped since being unemployed? Not a lot, a little…but still. Someone who has a lot of great writing gigs and who is as much of a shopping whore as me….gave up shopping? You make me feel guilty.
I must say….I think you are going to be ready for warm weather when you return. But its supposed to rain all weekend here….so good time to go:) yay wito gets to see his cousin and gparents.

I thought of you when we were passing through Oklahoma this past weekend, driving Troy’s dad’s Porsche back to California. :-) I am glad you will be getting some much-needed family time. Travel safe!

Yum, candy. I think you’ll feel better when the shirts are returned; I have to admit I voted in that direction, but I hope that you didn’t feel pressured or judged. Hello, you’re an adult. If you decide to buy two shirts, it’s two, not forty.

go, have a blast at your folks, and eat plenty of in and out burger to boot! I could never put my bad decisions in a blog like you do (much less with humor and charm). Here’s a big ol BY BYE to February. Everyone gets the blues in Feb!

Good for you for returning your items. Stay strong!

Also, totally jealous of your OKC trip. Can you drop by my parents’ place and hug them for me?
