ASOS Midi Dresses

asos midi dress review

Let’s talk about ASOS. Up until a week ago, I had never bought anything from the retailer, however, found myself pinning their items to my Want It, Need It board all the livelong day. Namely, many of their Midi Dresses.

Now, I guess you could say that I am a fairly modest dresser. I prefer to keep a decent majority of my skin covered, thank you very much, and that is why I have been so drawn to midi dresses. Undeniably feminine, I love that they hit at the knee or lower, and most do a great job of accentuating the waist. I quickly fell into the pattern of pinning an adorable dress, clicking through to ASOS, noticing the reasonable price ending in some random number ($79.28, $33.64, $28.56, so on and so forth), assuming that it was a weirdo operation, and moving on.

Little did I know that ASOS is quite a large international company (weird prices = exchange rate, duh), and when I noticed they honored free shipping AND free returns, I figured what the hell. Let’s do this thing. (Do you see how this could get dangerous? I’m just ordering these items to help out fellow shoppers of the world, you see!)

Cary Anne Photography

You guys, you need to head over to Cary Anne Photography’s website to check out the photos of my cousin and her new baby. They will take your breath away, I promise. (Are they not the cutest family ever? Love love love.)

Also, can we talk about the fact that I have never had professional photos taken of my family? NEVER. (That’s why I cling to the Levi’s video we shot last year – I am forever grateful that I have that footage of the four of us.) This year is the year though…in our new home, oh, I just can’t wait.

Odds and Ends

1. Eddie Redmayne, your freckles are beyond.

2. There are many things I love about Creature Comforts, but the Color Inspiration posts are the best.

3. I am feeling this curly, chin-length bob.

4. I must say, I’ve become relatively proficient in reading and breaking down food labels, and this post by A Dinner and a Love Story gives some great tips.

5. We are rapidly approaching Spring, folks. Bronzing 101.

6. Stop it with this banana bread. STOP IT. Banana bread is my kryptonite.

7. I’m not sure if this young lady swayed me either way, but I found this video on why you should cut a pixie very interesting.

8. Aha! I knew I wasn’t the only one digging on windowpane fabrics right now.

9. THERE’S ALWAYS MONEY IN THE BANANA STAND. We hung out on Balboa Island last weekend, and it was trés maginifique.

10. Got a few recommendations on the Facebook page, but would love to know more. Do you know of a great online or 1-day class that covers the technicalities of shooting video with a DSLR? (Lighting, white balance, exposure, so on and so forth…) Anyone? Anyone?

Happy weekend, everyone! Don’t forget to change your clocks on Saturday night!
