This week was pretty much Downer Abbey, and did they really have to throw that part about Ethel and Charlie at the end? SADNESS.
In other news, Thomas, I can’t stand you on the show, but I do believe you rock a fine beard in real life.
What did you all think of Episode 3?

2. I just barreled through Season 1 and 2 of Homeland over the past two weeks. Oh, wow. So so good, and I’m genuinely sad over the ending of the second season. Why did that happen? WHHHYYYYYYYY, I ASK OF YOU? Seriously, I’ve found myself sitting in the school pickup line this week thinking about that ending. (Obviously, emotional investment in television programs/movies/novels is my forte.) Season 3 doesn’t start until September. That is a very, very long time, people.
3. For those of you who have asked, yes, I am planning to post pics of the house renovation. We still have so much to do in regards to decorating the house, but I promise I’ll post each and every room in the upcoming months. (Once we finish the lighting, the kitchen will be the first post, methinks. So happy with the way things turned out!)

It seems I’m not the only one feeling shorter hair these days. According to The New York Times, model Karlie Kloss’s new chop is the haircut of the year. Vogue declared it the “cut of the moment” in a four-page feature story in the January issue, saying “the season’s new hair is swingy, sexy — and refreshingly easy to wear.”
I adore it, but donning a chin-length cut in the past, I know they aren’t the easiest to style day in and day out. I’m not sure “refreshingly easy to wear” is completely accurate. What do you all think? I know that if my hair looked like that every day with minimal effort, I would do it in a second!
