Put Your Pinterest Pins in Your Sidebar!

8

Fellow Pinterest fans, do I have some good news for you! For the past few months, I’ve been searching and searching for an easy (and pretty!) way to display my pins in the sidebar of this blog. Since I’m no coding genius, WordPress widgets are usually the way to go for me, but the Pinterest widgets have been truly lacking in the “simple and pretty” department.

Well, call off the dogs! I found a simple and modern Pinterest RSS widget for WordPress last week and installed it here. It’s (aptly) named, Pinterest RSS Widget. I’m using it in my sidebar right now, and I love it. It’s customizable, lovely, and most importantly, super easy to set up. If you are looking to integrate your Pinterest pins into your WordPress website, I highly suggest it. It’s such nice way to add a little inspiration to your blog. Hooray!

A Few Questions for my 19 Month Old

20

First of all, would you just look at this face?

How much do you want to squeeze and kiss and cuddle and love on that toddler?! (What? You don’t want to squeeze and kiss and cuddle and love some random blogger’s toddler? YOU’RE AS COLD AS ICE, I SAY!!)

Wita, why are you growing up so fast?

Why is “I don’t know” your very favorite thing to say? And when you say it, it just melts my heart again and again and again?

Also, when you do that high-pitched, almost desperate-sounding “Uh-huh!?!” upon being asked to do something you really want to do? My lord, it’s so sweet.

Why do you “chat” on the phone incessantly? Is it to prime me for the upcoming decade with you?

(That’s my computer mouse, by the way.)

Most importantly, however, why do you put up with me making you wear size 6-12mos tights that are obviously too small, as the crotch seam now hovers around your knees, as seen in the video? Do you think that maybe your mama doesn’t want to accept that her baby is 19 months old, 33 inches and 27 pounds? Do you think mama is having a hard time watching her littlest and last baby grow up?

I think maybe so.

Loose Waves Tutorial (1 Curling Iron, 2 Ways)

34

loose waves video tutorial

Rumor has it some mighty fine individuals have tried my curling iron tutorial with success. (Can we call it the Whoorl Curl? Oh, come on…please? Humor me.) Take a gander at these hot mamas.

Three favorite ladies – Mandy, Rita, and Molly.

LOVE IT. Keep sending pics! (This reminds me of my Blunt Bang Brigade from a couple years ago. Remember these photos?) (Also, my bangs are down to my chin. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?! Must remedy pronto.)

Besides photos of gorgeous ladies donning shiny waves, I have also received this particular question many, many times.

WHY RU SUCH A REGULAR CURLING IRON HATER??? WHAT DID A CLAMP EVER DO TO U? CLAMPZ RUULLLE.

Okay, maybe not phrased exactly like that. More like:

Can I achieve soft, loose waves with a traditional clamp curling iron?

The answer is a resounding YES, ladies. You can rock some really lovely waves by using a traditional curling iron with a clamp, and I’m going to show you how. In this video, I used a Sedu Revolution clipless curling iron on one side of my hair and a Hot Tools traditional clamp curling iron on the other side. Also, I spent more time demonstrating the technique this time around, so hopefully it will be helpful to those who need a a little more practice. Either way, your curls will look really lovely. Let clipless and traditional curling irons live in harmony! Peace be with you.
