Are you sitting down? Yes? Okay, good.

You are looking at the newest face of Pantene‘s Aqua Light campaign.

(Oh, there goes the heart-beating thing again.)

Starting today, if you live in North America, you might just be seeing me on your television (35+ networks!) for the next few months.

(Dying.)

I’ve had 5 months to prepare for this, and yet, I’m still speechless. Can you believe this? I can’t believe this.

The month of March is going to be crazy for me, with lots of super cool things planned with the Pantene team, including taking over Pantene’s Facebook and Twitter pages, and a series of Hair Thursday posts about my experience shooting a national hair commercial. (Holy crap, it was insane, and I promise to not spare a detail.)

In the meantime, here’s the commercial.

(This is the spot that is playing in Canada, and there is a another spot playing in America as well.)

If you need me today, I’ll be staring at the television set hoping to catch a glimpse of some swishing action.

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?

Big News

14

Friends, come Monday, I am going to tell you some incredibly exciting news. News of something that I never EVER thought would happen to me, and have been keeping secret since last September.

I can’t wait to share it with you all. Now, let’s just hope my heart makes it through the weekend. (It’s beating SO FAST.)

Happy weekend, everyone!

Will you like me?

Here’s the deal. I started a Facebook page and I want you to like it. Here’s why:

1. It would be very sweet of you.

2. I need a place where we can discuss random things. Let me explain. One of the reasons I love Twitter is when I’m looking for information, I can tweet a question and get tons of awesome responses. For instance, just yesterday I was lamenting on how horrible most sippy cups are. (Why do they all suck? Or, actually, NOT suck when they are supposed to suck? Why can’t I find a good straw-valve sippy cup? WHY, PRAY TELL???) Anyway, I got tons of responses, followed with people requesting that I share the information that I received. That’s when things start to get a little crazy, and I thought, wouldn’t it be good to have a place where people can comment and/or access comment threads on random stuff? Also, a place where info would be a lot easier to access down the road? Yep, methinks it’s a good idea.

3. Obviously, a blog would be a great place, but frankly, I don’t have the time to construct extra posts asking information on sippy cups or workout pants or contact solution or the best new pink lipstick or math iPhone apps for kids or the best books you’ve read this year. I need something quick and easy.

4. Enter my Facebook page. Let’s talk about random stuff over there.

5. Currently, I really need help finding a good contact solution for sensitive eyes. Got any recs?

6. The page will also be a place where I can house all of my internet goings-on, as I can barely keep up with myself.

7. Like I said, it would be very sweet of you. Give me your recommendations or forever hold your peace!

(Also, I am planning on making my personal Facebook profile family and close friends only, so if we’re internet acquaintances, please don’t be offended if my friend list gets whittled down dramatically. Thanks, I knew you would understand!)

JewelMint (+ Giveaway!)

158

My day-to-day jewelry vibe usually involves tiny gold and diamond studs in my ears, my wedding band on my left hand, at least 2-3 gold bracelets and my fave chunky gold watch on my right arm (lefties unite!), and a necklace of some sort. That’s the look. Almost EVERY DAY. It’s relatively simple and straight-forward and me, but sometimes I dream of spicing it up a bit.

Enter JewelMint. When I was offered the opportunity to choose some pieces from the line, I jumped on it. I told myself I wasn’t allowed to choose any stud earrings or gold bracelets- this time I would mix it up with some dangly earrings and statement rings.

Here are the pieces I found.

Thunderbird Earrings

Midnight Soiree Ring

Dahlia Blossom Ring

Friendship Bracelets – Wita loved her very first bracelet from mommy

I adore all of these pieces, truly. The earrings are gorgeous (and lightweight!), the rings have both made appearances this week, and Wita has pretty much called dibs on the friendship bracelets. (It’s starting early, folks. I might have to put a lock on my closet, like Real Housewife Mary Schmidt. Help.)

What I can’t get over is the price. You all, the pieces are $29.99. I thought for sure when I opened up the JewelMint box, I would be dealing with jewelry that looked and felt like, well, $29.99 jewelry. Not the case at all! The pieces are super well-made, the rings are sturdy and have a nice weight to them, and I was really pleasantly surprised.

You should see for yourself! The lovely folks at JewelMint are giving away one piece of jewelry of the winner’s choice, and there is so much to choose from. Just leave a comment on this post before Sunday, February 26th at 6pm PST and you’ll be entered to win.

Also, if you see something you just must have right away, please use the code WHOORL50 – good for 50% off your first piece, valid until 2/29/12. (First time buyers only.)

Now, go forth and find some jewelry!
