The Whoorl household does not eat fast food. Why, you ask? Maybe because D is a vegetarian or my issues with germy people preparing my food. Who knows, we just don’t.

But I just devoured an entire Double-Double and fries from In-N-Out burger and it was damn good. Much to the chagrin of my vegetarian husband, my baby likes BEEF! In the form of double-double cheeseburgers!

  1. Ummm…yeah…that looks incredible to me right now. Could be the diet that I’m on that prevents me from eating anything horribly bad for me – which is really good for me – but I miss junk food every once in a while. Being pregnant is such a great excuse for so many things!

  2. I am such a fan of the double double. I crave it and make a break for one whenever we are in California.

  3. In n out isn’t really fast food, though, is it? I mean, not like McD or Burger King.

maybe I just tell myself that everytime I go through the drivethrough to order a grilled cheese and strawberry shake.

    Hmmm… i wonder why I’m so chubby?

  4. GOOOD I miss living in California! *Crying – weeping – depressed*

Get the chocolate shake next time! :) And eat a 2nd meal for me. :)

  5. Ooh! I think you are having a boy then… I did, and cheeseburgers were a MAJOR part of my pregnancy diet.

  6. Oh, I love this! The baby and I have bonded already. Too bad we’re so far away from our beloved Braums, Johnnies, and Drugstore burgers. And don’t even get me started on Sonic…

Poor, poor Dd. No matter what he’s done to pull you out, the beef has pulled you back in!

  7. If the baby’s not a vegetarian and wants some beef, you have to go with that. Dems da rules.

Well, just in case you didn’t believe the veracity of the pregnancy test…. the double-double test is infallable. You, my friend, are pregnant. :)

YOU’RE EATING! That’s all I care about! *happy dance*

  10. Babys LOVE protein and iron–if you’re craving it, go for it :)

tee hee heee…My baby went through a roast-beef stage. I got one from Arby’s once and my husband relayed some freaky comment about how they were made from compressed meat and were super nasty for you, so in prego-state, i promptly got super pissy and couldn’t touch the damned sandwich. But he redeemed himself by going to this divey bar down the street from our old house and getting me a real roast beef sandwich. NUMMERS!!!! I usually don’t eat red meat at all (1-3 times a year). I’m back to eating more normal stuff now, but for the first 3-4 months, anything was up for grabs.

ooooh-and have you checked our bloggie yet? I posted the gender!!!!

And Jessie–I agree. At first I thought I didn’t want to use this as an excuse to eat some bad things now and then, but really, what else are ya supposed to do while prego? Diet? Work out really hard? neither are good for the little one. I figure that comes after it comes out and I’m oddly really looking forward to it!

  11. My pregnant sister (12 weeks along) had a MAD craving for burgers a few weeks ago. She would eat them every day. Her husband, the strict vegetarian, would look at her in awe and disgust and just shake his head while she said: “You kid likes beef! What can I do?” :)

    Mmmm…burgers!

  12. I am the same way – I was driving up May the other day on my way home from work, saw Braums and quickly turned around and went back as I was overwhelmed with the need for a cheeseburger from there. Ever since, it’s been Braums cheeseburgers haunting my dreams. I can’t get enough of them. I refuse to eat McDonald’s beef products, but Johnnies and Irma’s will suffice. Thank God my husband likes beef. That sounds bad, but you know what I mean. I don’t think he would have married me if I didn’t.
