Happy Easter.
I just accidentally erased every single feed on my Google Reader. (200+ blogs.)
Years of finding great writers and POOF! Gone into the black night.
(breathing into a paper sack)
((Would it be poor form to compare Jesus rising from the dead to my Google Reader reincarnation? You know, like a new start? Free from past sins of the fathers?))
(((Going to pray for forgiveness.)))
Do I read your blog? Should I read your blog? What blogs do you love? Suggestions? (Seriously, don’t be shy. This is a desperate call for ASSISTANCE.)

I would be in heaven if I knew that my dippy little blog was read – even once – by you. I mean, you are the creator of my oft-complimented hair, and the love of my life.
Oooh, perhaps I’ve gone too far.
Anywho, I like to think I’m funny once in a while, and every now and again, people tell me I’m funny. And I get a huge kick out of comments on my blog, but I think there are like, 3 people who read my blog, based on comments….
But I digress… I’m sorry for your loss. I hope the resurrection of your feed proves to be as miraculous as that of the Savior of the World —- or close enough.
That is just so horrifying to me. See, this is why I like it when applications check and then DOUBLE check that you really, really mean to delete something or close without saving. I am forever pushing the wrong buttons. Good luck getting your list back up to speed–I for one am enjoying all of these recommendations!
Would it be really weird if I said I didn’t use Google Reader or any of its ilk? Because I don’t. I prefer the surprise of popping all over the Internet and waiting with bated breath to see if people have updated. It brings a little excitement to my day.
feel free to read mine. although it’s not too exciting. ;)
one of my favorites is the husband and wife -
chris: http://www.rudecactus.com
beth: http://www.sothefishsaid.com
Of course, you should totally read mine. But I think you already do. :)
Ok. I feel like such an old lady here… but I have no idea what Google Reader is… sounds like something I need to Google.
I like to kick it old school and I just click through my links about a thousand times a day. No Google Reader for me. Hope you get all your good reads back soon, though, and Happy Easter!
You are my cautionary tale of the week. I’ve lost track of old blogs I enjoyed by switching computers, but never the old “merge folders” trick. Of course, though I miss those old blogs, it was a blessing in disguise because it inspired me to go out and find new ones.
Which is how I found you! Yay!
You can check me out if you likey. You can be like my 9th reader or something.
(Perhaps just to be different, I should have said, “Don’t even think about checking out my blog. It blows.”)
I’m with Amanda and Holly, no Google Reader for me. I like the excitement of bopping around to see who has a new post up. A little archaic, but with my hum drum life I can use any excitement I can get.
I really like Quinn, Mimi Smartypants, and Rob, along with the standby blogs like Schnozz, Sundry, and Amalah.
Oh, and I don’t know if you should read my blog, but I’m willing to exploit your misfortune: Read my blog! Thanks. :P
God, that must be sceery. The funny thing is I have mine in like three places for this exact reason. Bloglines and on 2 of my Mac Mail RSS readers.
But anyway, you know you are on my Reader, and hopefully I am/was on yours. Smooches.
You should (and possibly did) read my blog because Sammy is ridiculously cute and I am moderately amusing.
Yikes I’m so sorry! I stalk you but would never tell you to stalk me because I don’t really write about anything relative to what you write about. I just kind of want to kidnap your child. Is that weird? So sorry about the lost blogs!
~Laura
I delete/add/replace blogs on my blog reader all the time. Feel free to stop by my blog only to look at my pictures so you can say: GOOD GOD WOMAN! SIGN UP TO HAVE WHOORL GIVE YOU MUCH NEED ADVICE!
I would like to oh-so-modestly recommend my blog to your Google reader. One blog…five writers…it’s like five blogs in one!
http://fiveblondes.com
And in the interest of unselfishness, The Bloggess gives me the giggles. You should read her, if you’re not already.
http://thebloggess.com
I somehow happened upon The Bloggess last night, and OH MY GOD, I haven’t laughed that hard in quite awhile. I’m currently writing her a love poem.
hi! i just started reading your blog not too long ago on the suggestion of a friend. (she mentioned your thursday hair posts when i was struggling on a new ‘do)
this post definitely stressed me out! i do have a blogroll for backup though. and that’s where i’d recommend finding some great reads if you’re still looking :)
You could read my blog! It’s sometimes funny, always real, and often with pictures.
And if you’re not enjoying: http://3191.visualblogging.com/ , you should be. It’s like a breath of fresh air every evening.
Seriously that would be AWFUL!!! I need a paper bag just thinking of the possibilty of it!
I don’t know if you read my blog, but come on over for a visit.
http://www.ournestundertherock.blogspot.com
Hmmm…and “accidental” delete-all may be just the solution to the 250 unread items that have built up in my reader over the past (busy at work) week.
i think you should read my blog because i am wito’s biggest fan.
Oh, man, what a nightmare! I’m glad to see (upon skimming the comments) that you’re well on your way to getting it all restored!
I feel your pain .. something very similar happened to me – difference being my blog died and was resurrected
Hmmm…I am actually thinking that is a lot of ways this sounds really appealing.
Starting fresh! New! A chance to reevaluate things with out having to actually hit “Unsubscribe”!
I’m a little jealous. Although, considering I am a well-known techno-dork, it COULD be something that I could “Accidentally” pull off.
And?
I would love to throw my hat in the ring for some bloggity attention from The Amazing Whoorl.
You should read me to get your daily (or weekly) dose of spectacularly poor writing.
http://www.theovernitenote.blogspot.com
Well if you like movies, I try to write a quick and pithy honest review. once a week. :)
I’ve never been able to develop an addiction to Google’s Feed Reader. Now, BlogLines, that’s a different story.
in the interests of whoring myself out, make sure to add my blog – http://parallelfirst.blogspot.com
Also, when I read the first couple lines of that post, a shiver large enough to measure on the Richter scale went up and down my entire body. I’m so sorry! What a pain in the arse.
Oh that sucks. I kick it old school and just check in on my favorite links all day – it helps break up the day. Mmmmmmmmk, I think you should read me if for no other reason than the fact that my daughter, Aspen, is about a month younger than Wito and I know you are totally up for another mom whoring out her babe.
In addition, I stumbled on http://shewalks.blogspot.com and seriously I keep going back for more – the archives are like nougets filled with carmel buttery goodness – so she knits, you can see past that can’t you?
Well, I love your blog, read it all the time. I’ve just started on my blogging adventure fairly recently but think I’m pretty ok. Haha. A little self deprecating and self loathing but funny in between.
Feel free to read sometime.
You’re on my reader, I have no idea if I was on yours, but here I am!
I think most of my favorites are already on your blogroll. In fact, why do I even have a blogroll? I’ll just use yours from now on.
Fourfour is a damn funny blog.
Sorry about your disaster, but I am enjoying everyone’s suggestions. You’re providing a real public service here: warning us of the dangers lurking in Google Reader plus all of these great new(ish) blogs to read! If you check out my blog, you can see my suggestions in my links.
You don’t read my blog that I know of (well, you haven’t commented, in any case), but you SHOULD be reading these, in addition to my pretty little Pink Ceral and Raspberries, of course…if only because my fabulous boyfriend is a fellow Oklahoman living in California:

http://yummysushipajamas.wordpress.com/
http://www.bakingandbooks.com/
Fine. Go ahead and read my blog.
And btw, I have been known to rise from the dead (every morning!) not unlike Jesus.
OK, so that was wrong. Then again, that’s what you’re in for with me.

Please come read my blog! I’m brand new and would love to have one little visitor come by….. :)
I think in EST it’s already past midnight. Here it’s only 9:40. :(
One of my favorite blogs is Mimi Smatypants. I’m not sure if you read her before but she’s really good.
I would love to say you should read my blog, but I would rather you watch my show – it’s a sitcom only available online!

If you like shoes, wedding planning and grilled cheese, then, yes, you should read my blog. Because I read yours and adore it!
I’m not sure my blog is all that um… blogtastic, however, I’d like to offer up the following. All of which, I am sure you already have. But hey, whatever.
