Easter Panic!

Happy Easter.

I just accidentally erased every single feed on my Google Reader. (200+ blogs.)

Years of finding great writers and POOF! Gone into the black night.

(breathing into a paper sack)

((Would it be poor form to compare Jesus rising from the dead to my Google Reader reincarnation? You know, like a new start? Free from past sins of the fathers?))

(((Going to pray for forgiveness.)))

Do I read your blog? Should I read your blog? What blogs do you love? Suggestions? (Seriously, don’t be shy. This is a desperate call for ASSISTANCE.)

Oh man, this gives me chills. Going now to find a way to back up my Google Reader…

…and yes, you should read my blog. Though to be completely honest, I can’t think of a single reason why, unless you really like golden retrievers and lots of sacrelige.

    Actually that’s a great reason!

Oh, but I DO read your blog! (In fact, you were one of the inaugural adds in my Rebuilding Google Reader 2008.)

I always add my blog feeds from bloglines to my favorites folder. And then I export that, because oh yes, this has happened to me and I only have 49 remembered blog feeds from my previous 200. But life is remarkably more simple now.

And I don’t know as I’d recommend reading my blog. I’m very neglectful of it; I’m sure the Internet is preparing a criminal neglect case against me.

    But Happy Easter anyway!

Holy crap. I have never dreamed up this possibility and I am freaking out…because this is so something that would happen to me. You have my unmitigated empathy, sister!

Take a couple of shots of whatever you need (vodka? tequila? limoncello to be festive?) out of half a plastic easter egg. Maybe that will subdue a bit of the pain. (Re-)collecting your blogs will be like your grown-up easter egg hunt today. Just keep that bottle and 1/2 and easter egg nearby. Happy hunting.

I am breathing in to a paper bag for you - can you share with us how you did this so we can, um, NOT DO IT?

Yes, good point! Okay, obviously, I’m not really SURE how it happened (it was just SO FAST!), but I have all of my feeds categorized into 3 folders. I was attempting discard the multiple folder idea and move all the feeds into one folder, which I did. THEN, I tried to delete the two folders that I no longer wanted (after transferring the feeds into the remaining folder), and when I hit delete, it erased ALL feeds out of ALL the folders. Shit.

    That blows. Really. Blows.

But isn’t it sort of cleansing in a way…

    (focusing on the positive)

You should read my blog. You won’t necessarily get anything out of it. But sometimes I’m funny. That’s what the voices in my head tell me anyway.

And- I’ve been getting lots of comments on my hair lately. Which makes me think in my head “Whoorl would be so proud”. (even though you have no idea who I am because I only stalk your blog)

    Good luck!!

Wow, that’s a lotta blogs, woman.

So, while this mishap may appear tragic, perhaps it’s the universe’s way of saying, “Whoorl, winnow down the list.”

As for reading me, I’ve been boring myself lately. I can’t fathom how much I’m boring others. But if I ever get my Stella-esque groove back, there might be something worth reading. (Though I did whip up a post the other day featuring a video clip of Ciaran Hinds looking dashing, talking about “Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day,” [which EVERYONE should see]. So that alone is worth a visit.)

I think I might have been exaggerating on the blog number. I remember taking it down to about 100 a while ago, but then I started adding again. Regardless, I am making a point to keep it around 100 this time. (Maybe. I just love me some funny blogs.)

Well, I love your blog, read it all the time. I’ve just started on my blogging adventure fairly recently but think I’m pretty ok. Haha. A little self deprecating and self loathing but funny in between.

    Feel free to read sometime.

You’re on my reader, I have no idea if I was on yours, but here I am!

I think most of my favorites are already on your blogroll. In fact, why do I even have a blogroll? I’ll just use yours from now on.

Sorry about your disaster, but I am enjoying everyone’s suggestions. You’re providing a real public service here: warning us of the dangers lurking in Google Reader plus all of these great new(ish) blogs to read! If you check out my blog, you can see my suggestions in my links.

You don’t read my blog that I know of (well, you haven’t commented, in any case), but you SHOULD be reading these, in addition to my pretty little Pink Ceral and Raspberries, of course…if only because my fabulous boyfriend is a fellow Oklahoman living in California:

Fine. Go ahead and read my blog.

And btw, I have been known to rise from the dead (every morning!) not unlike Jesus.

OK, so that was wrong. Then again, that’s what you’re in for with me.
