Whoorl Header #1

Hair Thursday - Housekeeping Issues

1) Please send your hair requests to hairATwhoorlDOTcom. I have been receiving a lot of emails requesting help for upcoming hair appointments, but unfortunately, submissions are booked into Fall 2008. I am still adding new requests to the list, but please know that those requests won’t be featured until fall/winter 2008.

2) Obviously, with the current wait, questionnaires do not need to be filled out immediately. However, if several months have passed and you haven’t returned the requested information to me, I will bump you down the list. (That Whoorl is such a BITCH!)

3) From here on out, voting won’t be involved with some of the participants. To be honest, I waste a lot of time trying to find a second hairstyle just for the sake of voting. However, there are still times when I need your fabulous opinions and will utilize the polls accordingly.

4) All of these rules and regulations are making me laugh as I type this damn thing. For God’s sake, it’s HAIR.

5) While I would absolutely love to answer all of your “on-the-side” hair emails, I just can’t any longer. It would be one thing if this were a job, but unfortunately, IT’S NOT. What can I say, I am the Mother Teresa of Hair. (Who has officially been chained to her laptop for the past couple of months.)

6) That being said, you all rock. I’m off to frolic in the waves.

    Enjoy the lovely weather!

I think your above list is a good way to make sure that Whoorl doesn’t spend anytime feeling guilt she shouldn’t be feeling at all! That’s pretty amazing that you’re almost booked up for the whole year!

Dude, sometimes parameters just need to be put in place - for the sake of your sanity, at the very least. Have a great time at the beach! (subtext: It’s a flipping blizzard here, I hate you!) :)

It’s smart to put some guidelines in place, especially for your Mother Teresa-like work.

70 degrees? I wish I was there. Everybody assumes Vegas is super hot all the time, but it’s not. And we don’t have the beach.

Must you brag so much about your awesome damn weather? Little old me up here in Seattle hasn’t seen the sun in months.

    MONTHS, I tell you.

That being said, enjoy the beach!

I agree with Jummy, no need to feel guilty over not spending every moment of your life helping us poor people with our hair needs. However, you did NOT need to rub it in that you will be frolicking in the waves. THAT you should feel guilty about, because it is yucky and cold here. NO FAIR! :P

Whoorl - Did you get my hair questionaire? I sent it back MOMENTS after I received the email that I was on for May….I haven’t sent pics yet - will that bump me down the list? Don’t worry about not being able to answer on the side hair queries…you are and always will be the High Priestess of Hair :o)

    Michelle

Yes, I have your questionnaire. :)

    70 degrees?

I just have to keep reminding myself about the hideous amounts of rent required to live in the area. :)

    Eastern Iowa Weird Weather Update:
(Just so you know how LUCKY you are!)

Thursday, January 24, 2008: Record setting low temperature, -23, wind chill makes it feel like -37. (Yep. It felt like it was thirty seven degrees below zero.)

Monday, January 28, 2008: Record setting high temperature, 47 degrees with sunny skies and much melting of snow.

Tuesday, January 29, 2008: Blizzard warning, with a “special weather announcement” that alerted us all that we may die if we drive on the roads. (OK - well, those weren’t the exact words they used, but close enough.) The temperature that night was -12, with wind chills dipping well below -30.

For those of you paying attention, that’s an air temperature difference of 77 degrees in less than 24 hours.

We’re a little warmer here these last few days, but not much!

    Enjoy the beach!!!!
